medyo bitin nga ang MOP if you will compare it to hk or singapore oceanariums.
pero im happy we have our own na in Manila.. and their rate is affordable pa.

mop's entrance is P400 while singapore's underwaterworld is 22.9 singaporean dollars (equivalent to P763.79), so i guess cannot compare talaga since halos double rin ang admission ng underwaterworld.

@wonderland1, oks na yun! :) memorable din sakin ang MOP kasi bday ko nung magpunta kame dun ni bf at dahil din natuwa kame sa underwater creatures nagdecide kame na magtravel sa iba't ibang beaches dito satin. that started our ppc trip last march.

i'm looking forward going back sa MOP soon. i'd like to see the jellyfishes!

wow, babalik ka sa MOP? that's great. nakaka-tuwa talaga panoorin mga underwater creatures, ang gaganda nila tingnan at ang graceful gumalaw sa tubig.  :)

sadly di kame natuloy nung bday ko. pero planning to go back next month, madami na kasi bago at dati kasi wala kame dalang matinong camera. gaganda pa naman nung fishes and sea creatures dun, sayang talaga! now that i have a decent camera mas lalong excited at looking forward talaga ako, sana lang wag umulan para talagang matuloy kame. excited na din nga pala ako na matapos at mabuksan yung The Mind Museum, from our office kitang-kita sya! ang lawak ng sakop at ilang months ko na din tinitignan ang updates sa site nila. mukhang everyday after nya magawa eh parati na ko tambay dun, hehe!

if you've seen the parks in HK and SG, maliit at medyo boring yung MOP.
pero for first timers, maaliw ka talaga.
i just don't like some of the convex glasses they used. nakakahilo dahil sa illusion to make some fishes bigger.

^ sayang naman to. just been to SG last may.
anyway, been to HK ocean park, Bangkok's Siam Ocean World and SG's Underwater world and of course MOP.  You can't compare, yung sa Bangkok ata ang pinakamalaki in Asia. Maganda yung sa BKK.  Di ko masyado nagustuhan yung sa SG then sa HK ako pinaka nagenjoy kase yun siguro yung una kong napuntahan and ganda ng jelly fishes don.. But plan to go to MOP just to see the Musical fountain since I really enjoyed Singpapore's Songs of the Sea.  Sana maganda talaga.

we visited MOP last month. i was with my daughter, balikbayan friends and their son. sulit naman kasi the kids enjoyed it a lot.

tip: kung meron kayong SM advantage card, present it when buying the admission tickets so you get P50 off the regular rate. 4 adults kami kaya naka-save kami ng P200 with the SM advantage card.  :)

hi there! planning to go to MOP this weekend. Tingin niyo mga sis madaming tao pa din? Saka ano sa tingin niyo ang ideal time na pumunta doon? Like opening time na 9AM (assuming mahaba ang pila?)

Thanks in advance! :)
I wanna fly away with you.

^we went there on a saturday, around 3 pm. tamang-tama lang, hindi masyadong maraming tao. feeling ko, mas okay pumunta ng weekends kesa weekdays. nakapunta kasi ako sa MOP ng weekday before (but not inside the oceanarium) and there were just too many visitors, lalo na yung mga kids on a field trip. there were busloads of them. ang gulo!
