^Sayang nga.  Check on The Ruins in Talisay for picture-picture.  Don't forget to buy some goodies from Emma Lacson its near BPI in Silay City.  Its a house so you just ask around for directions. :)  Yummy fresh lumpia, empanada, pili squares and others.

^yes sis, nasa notes ko yan.  ;D
help naman sis  ??? pano iti ba massuggest mo for my Day1? eto kasi yun mga gusto ko puntahan on Day1 (Bacolod day) kung kakayanin:

6am- arrival at Bacolod airport

- breakfast at Kapehang Sang Silay
- visit the ancestral houses & Bernardino Jalandoni Museum in Silay
- try the fresh lumpia/empanada from Emma Lacson in Silay City
- visit Ruins in Talisay
- check in at Check Inn hotel
- Mambukal Resort
- lunch at Manokan Country
- have some dessert at Calea's
- (ano bang mga food pasalubong ang pwede bilhin from Bacolod and saan dapat bumili? gusto ko rin ng tshirt at magnet)

panong pagkakasunod sunod ba ang gagawin ko para macover ko lahat in 1 day? (or impossible sya?)

isa pang problem is hindi ko pa alam ang pag commute commute going to these places.

the next day, i am planning to take the early morning ferry bound for Iloilo kung wala na pwedeng puntahan/gawin sa Bacolod.

thanks in advance sis! :)

Mas ok siguro if you'll have 2days in Bacolod.  You might want to stay for an overnight in Mambukal. Or kahit half day on the second day. :)  Mambukal is 45 minutes away from the city.  You can enjoy the place by climbing to the falls--there are 7 falls there.

Im not familiar with Kapehan sang Silay. :(    From the airport pwede ka sumakay ng van dun tapos you tell them na sa highway ka baba near BPI tapos malapit na Ideal at Emma Lacson dun.  To go to the museums you can ride tricycle from the main street.

Going to the Ruins is quite difficult.  Papasok kasi siya.  Baka its better to get a taxi na lang rent na lang siguro para pwede din kayo ihatid sa Check Inn after.  Madami taxi sa airport so you might seek for their number before you leave going to the city proper of Silay para pasundo na lang kayo dun.  400 kasi singil nila from airport to Bacolod near Check Inn.  So baka you would need to add since you're passing the Ruins.

For pasalubong like magnets etc.  visit the Showroom of Association of Negros Producers along Lacson Street.

For food pasalubong:
Virgie's in San Sebastian Street
Bong-bong's meron sa SM nito
Bailon's in near Lopue's San Sebastian this is walking distance from Check Inn
and a lot more..

Restaurant's to try:
1.  Pepe's in Piazza Sorrento go there for dinner on your first day to have some margarita too.  The place transforms into a bar/club at 10pm.
2.  Bob's Restaurant in North Drive across The Riverside Medical Center--must try would be the Sate Babe.  There cakes are yummy too.
3.  Coffebreak at Bob's Cafe along Lacson Street. Or in Kuppa in Shopping- Corner Tindalo Hilado Streets.
4.  Bascon cafe along Lacson Street have good food too. callos, lengua, chicken relleno etc.  They have yummy baked goods like cheese roll etc.

Eto lang muna for now I'll add more later.  :)

^thanks sis!. pwede rin half day pa kami kinabukasan. :)

^No sis.  From Silay airport you will pass by Talisay City on your way to Bacolod City.  There's no other way for you to go to Bacolod from Silay if you don't pass by Talisay.  :)  The Ruins lang ata makikita sa Talisay.  :) Oh you might want to check Balay ni Tana Dicang in Talisay.  Its a museum also. :)

I'm not sure about the schedule of the museums.  Maybe around 8am or 9 am they are open na. :)

You can go to Mambukal anytime. :)

I suggest you try all my recommendations.  Don't worry they are not expensive.  Bacolod is all about food.  That's our tourist attraction I must say. ;)

Anyway, I'm born and currently living in the City of Smiles--Bacolod. :)

super thanks sis aMz! hope to see you there! kalito naman yun mapa! haha! try pa ko hanap ng ibang maps  ;D sige isama ko yun Balay ni Tana Dicang sa Talisay.

so bale Silay -> Talisay -> Bacolod sa Day 1 and then half day sa Mambukal naman sa Day 2.

sis surrealprincess, naku sobrang thank you rin in advance ha! GTalkers are the best talaga!  ;)

^^Sis surrealprincess, if you read my previous posts here you'll know how to go to the Ruins from Silay City.  Get a cab at the airport. ;)  There's a countdown on the eve of October 18.  There will be fireworks.  You should go to Lacson Street for the street party.

lakwatsa, Lakawon is an island off Cadiz City.  From Silay its in the North while Bacolod in Talisay are in the South.  Tapos yung Mambukal is in the East ata.   Not sure with the directions of the compass.  Hehe :) Yup Lakawon is accessible you can ride Ceres bus and merong mga pump boat which can bring you to the island itself. :)

thanks mga sis! skip ko na yun Lakawon kasi whole din daw ang kelangan dun para ma enjoy e. will go for Mambukal na lang tapos bahala na kung abutin ng whole day dun hehe. :)

Day 1:
Airport --> Silay tour --> Talisay Tour --> Bacolod City tour

Day 2:
Mambukal (half to whole day, depende) --> Pasalubong shopping

Day 3:
early morning ferry to Iloilo, go straight to Guimaras

Day4
back to Iloilo early morning for Iloilo tour --> airport in the evening

5. from L'Fisher, pano makakapunta sa Mambukal?

thanks in adv mga sis!

Yes, this is a good choice!  L'Fisher Hotel is like the "best" hotel in Bacolod so I presume L'Fisher Chalet is ok too.  The "best" in the sense that big politicians stay here whenever they are in town like Erap etc.  Celebrities too like Kris Aquino and her Yap family.  And take note L'Fisher Chalet is located at the back of Lacson Street so that makes you near the happening places in Bacolod.

I'm not sure about this.  Siguro meron sa labas ng airport mismo its like a 5 minute walk.

2. within Silay walking distance na lang ba yun mga ancestral houses and museum?

Yup, pwede if gusto niyo mag sight seeing kasi Silay is known to be the Paris of Negros.

3. from Silay, ano yun sign board ng jeep na dapat sakyan going to Balay ni Tana Dicang sa Talisay at saka Ruins (ano ba mauuna madaanan sa dalawang ito?)

Going to Talisay you can ride Silay-Bacolod jeepney.  I just don't know what to ride going to Balay ni Tana Dicang and The Ruins.

Ride Talisay-Bacolod jeepney.  Baba kayo ng Robinson's Place Bacolod para d kayo maligaw as you can see the building from afar.  Ride Mandalagan-Libertad jeepney baba kayo ng L'Fisher Hotel.

5. from L'Fisher, pano makakapunta sa Mambukal?
Ride Mandalagan-Libertad jeep.

D ako familiar sa mural painting in Victorias.  Victorias is around 1.5 hours bus ride.  Wala naman tourist attraction dun siguro yung Victorias Milling Co.  But hindi naman pwede pumasok if walang permit.  For me hindi siya worth it.  I'd rather enjoy Bacolod na lang.
