^wow finally sis! congrats sa kitchen mo!

nag-umpisa na construction sis ng house ko, 1 week palang... do you think it's worth visiting Cusm Furniture to discuss my requirements?

Thanks Younis! I suggest visiting them when the walls are up as the measurements in the plan can differ from the actual.  Also, don't forget to give them a copy of your floor plan along with pictures of what you have in mind.  They will only make suggestions based on your ideas.

gaano tagal sis inabot ang fabrication ng kitchen sis? were the cabinets ducco-finish?

did you provide all accessories such as wire baskets, handles, etc? ok ba pagkaka-install ng plumbing and fixtures ng sink?

^The cabinets took a very long time to finish (but then again this is because other cabinets were added at a later point).  All of them put together (including the bedroom closets) took a year because they only did ours when they were not busy with their corporate clients.

The kitchen cabinets are ducco finish but we bought the half round daisy (wire basket) and provided the sink, faucet and the drawer pulls.

So far, so good the few times I've used the sink - no leaks and the faucet seems to be firmly installed.

Sorry to say this but I lost my celfone a long time ago so I do not have his number anymore. Up to now kasi andami pa din nagp-pm sa akin and I can't answer all of you one by one.

Guys,

We are very happy with the works of Nats, even though nagkaroon ng kontrobersyal dito, tinuloy pa rin namin ang contract at tinayaan namin sya. Mahirap talaga magsalita agad ng masama sa isangtao at husgahan agad.Di ko lang alam [textspeak!] pano magpost ng pic but if you have a suggestion let me know

Hi Everyone!

I just had a very bad experience with a labor contractor. Please beware of these people because they take on jobs of any size, whether a house, carpentry, painting, etc. Ernesto G. Ombac, Jun Ombac, Lino Ombac and Engr. Antonio Escobar. They wanted to get another billing on top of the downpayment I gave them. When I didn't pay up because the accomplishment percentage was not yet met and the project was months delayed, they just LEFT! These people live in Zapote, Las Pinas but they accept jobs in Metro Manila and Laguna and Batangas.

Off topic but related pa din. My granite countertop cracked last year. I've asked Nats to check since the kitchen is supposed to have a 1 year warranty with him but until now, nada. He sent Jojo over to check after 2 months and now it has been a month again but no action pa rin.

Just to share, I was one of the ones who gave good feedback and recommended Nats here in GT. Am really disappointed at his lack of action now. The granite countertop is never stepped on, no heavy appliances are put on it, and wala nababagsak. I actually noticed a fine line on the granite when they were installing it but Nats said it was just an Imperfection within the slab. Since there was no cracking I could feel on top of the countertop, I chose to believe him.

Guess what, the crack is now exactly on that line hay. And sad to say, there is another one on the other side of the cook top. I only have a 2 burner cook top so it's usually just rice and viand that we cook. So I am thinking, the granite was probably low quality hence it cracked after constant use. Another hypothesis is they made a mistake in provisioning the size of the clearance around the counter top. Or it could be that kulang ang support under the granite. I really Don't know. But for the price I paid for my kitchen, I certainly expect it to last more than 6 MONTHS!!!!

^huh? for a modular type of kitchen cabinets, are they supposed to put concrete slab under the granite? di ba ini-install lang yun sa ibabaw ng cabinet itself?

^^ sis arksarah, no concrete slab beneath the granite. They put the granite on top of the base cabinet. Feeling ko nga it was that fine line in the granite that I pointed out to him. Probably mishandled slab.

^ No steel frames as well. They just put the slab on top of the base cabinet.

1 year for the whole kitchen. But yun nga, I have been asking him to check since November but until now, no action. I messaged him again this morning and he said he will drop by this week. I'll have to wait and see.

Some of the edgings have also been peeling off even though it has only been months since the kitchen was made. We have glued them back in with rugby instead.
