I am currently loving thrift shopping! kahit isang store lang binibilhan ko, natutuwa ako! hehe

I am a certified ukay-ukay addict.

Every week, I go to my suki thrift shop and buy at least 1 or 2 stuffs there.

Bought my sky-high heels in a very reasonable price.

Natutuwa pa mga classmates ko sa suot ko kase ang vintage daw. haha!

not into ukay-ukay either. di ako marunong sa ganun eh saka walang kasya sa akin lagi. harhar. pero online deals, yep, pinapatos ko talaga saka yung mga sales sa malls/boutiques. ilang beses na din akong nakabili ng dresses and tops for 5 bucks. my rule now is, dahil natuto na ako, unless you super, super, super love and need an item, never buy anything full price. lahat ng mga yan nagbabagsak presyo-sometimes even 70-80% off.

may pinalampas nga lang ako na hanggang ngayon, i'm grieving dahil di ko binili. a silk dress in taupe from forever21 which was sold for $3.99. kumustasa ang kabobohan ko. harhar.

thrift shopping for clothes is not for me...but i do go to goodwill or salvation army to look for unique home decors

i like shopping at clearance sales better

and yes, i never buy items at full-price....tried and tested ko na yan at stores like gap, ann taylor loft, jcrew, ae, old navy.....i don't give in to the thought na baka maubusan ako ng size if i don't buy it now...if maubusan ako, i just think na it wasn't meant for me, easy

basta my rule of the thumb is; Dont buy if hindi mo talaga mahal na mahal at wag na wag bibili pag may "konting" sira, or "masikip/maluwag konti"

same here I don't buy shoes at Ukay ukay who knows sino yung huling sumuot nun or baka meron nakakahawang fungi.

I like thrift shopping too! I had lots of jackets na galing ukay ukay pero yung iba ang tatak pa eh G2000 or Giordano (I bought it for P100 or P50 lang

). Dapat lang suyurin mo yung store and check the styles kung steal na yung damit or downright luma na. Pag sinuwerte ka pa makakakita ka pa ng damit from Zara, Mango and Marks and Spencer.

basta check lang yung mga buttons, zippers, stains, stitches..etc.

what i do naman before wearing them is to soak them in tepid water mixed with lysol (hindi yung spray, yung pang clean ng house in liquid form) tapos sabunin ng maiigi then iron before wearing...

(kahit di na warm.. kasi to kill bacteria using hot water, dapat boiling point, so malamang kailangan pakuluuan mo ang mga damit and i don't wanna do that, hassle)

^^ same here. Before wearing it, I soak the clothes in hot water for at least 30 minutes before ko kusutin. Hindi mo kasi alam kung sino ang huling sumuot. haha

Basta sakin I buy stuff at ukay-ukay pag:

- mukhang bago pa yung damit
- walang sira, mantsa, tastas or punit
- I also checked the armpits nung jackets at blouses, pag my yellowish or whitish stain di ko na binibili masyado na pinaglumaan
- before going to ukay ukay I checked the latest trends sa internet or ano yung mga nakadisplay sa boutique then I'll find a similar dress sa ukay-ukay (kung meron)

never tried buying stuff at ukay-ukay... attempted couple of times pero hindi talaga kaya ng powers ko, siguro kasi yung mga napupuntahan ko maaalikabok eh may allergic conjuctivis ako.. pero i love thrift shopping, dito sa ayala ave tiannge, super buysung ako, kahit 50 lang blouse ko nasusuot ko pa din pamasok, hindi nga daw halata kasi akala nila 51 hehe...

lahat ng mga damit ko "generic". good thing hindi ako brand conscious.

Hindi rin ako nag uukay ukay. Hanggang mga sale lang sa SM siguro..Hehe. Ok din sa Div daw. Mama ko na lang pinapapabili ko mas ok daw dun e.

i used to shun thrift shops, whether clothes yan or something else... for one thing, i cant stand the smell of moth balls...

until there was this new ukay-ukay that opened up at our place... maliwanag sya sa loob, and it was airconditioned kaya di pwede ang amoy ng moth balls or any chemicals... i think they sprayed odor removers to their items, mostly clothes...

una, patingin-tingin lang... then i tried buying 1-2 items... it was until one time that i saw a blouse i bought at a thrift shop being sold at Landmark... it was the same exact thing!... i bought the blouse at P75, and it was being sold at Landmark for 1K...since then, i go thrift shopping at least one a month...

funny lang kasi when i started going to thrift shops, wala pa yung categorizing ng items... branded or not, magkakasama sa isang rack... for my hubby's trip abroad, i bought him an Armani trenchcoat for only P300... nabati daw sya nung boss nya na mamahalin yung daw yung suot nya.,.. sabi ni hubby bigay daw ng brother ko from the US... comment daw ng boss nya, mamahalin daw yung ganun sa US, almost $300... tawa daw ng tawa si hubby kasi magaling daw ako pumili...

lately lang, napapansin ko, medyo brand conscious na mga thrift shops ngayon... may mga items na sila na worth 1k and above, depende sa brand...

naku,ukay addict ako...

80% ng clothes ko ukay.I got several dresses and skirts na rin from ukay-ukay.I live in Cavite,sa may Zapote road papuntang Alabang may 2 ukay-ukay stalls doon na madalas ko puntahan.sa Makati madalas akong mag-ukay sa may MRT-Ayala station.I got this black Marc Jacobs skirt (I'm actually proud of it kasi ang dami nagsabi na ang ganda)from an ukay in the MRT area.at first hesitant ako kasi size US 4 (small) siya.noong sinukat ko nagkasya naman sa akin (fits like a US 6/medium) kaya hindi ko na pinalampas.bili ko na agad!

ako din ukay-ukay addict! yung P500 ko ang layo ng nararating. I first discovered ukay-ukay in bambang, ngayon kung saan saan nako nakakarating.

ukay-ukay suggestions: cubao, blumentrit espana, quiapo.
yan yung malalapit saakin.

kelangan talaga ng patience at ready ka mag isa-isa ng rack, pero sobrang worth it! I also got a marc jacobs, top naman yung akin.
