Professional Bra Fitting
« on: August 05, 2009, 10:55:43 AM »
I read an article in oprah.com about professional bra fitting (http://www.oprah.com/slideshow/oprahshow/oprahshow1_ss_20051115)

I followed her advice and went to a lingerie store to have a bra fitting. before this, I was buying bras with 34B or sometimes 34C measures. but the lady who measured me told that I'm 32DD... :o

feeling ko tuloy member ako ng association of porn models or hehe

anyway, when i try to fit in bras with my new size I was very surprised how they fit snugly and comfortably. and I also discovered that there are only limited styles with this size or above DD.

kaya i encourage you all to have a professional bra fitting. mag-improve talaga ang fit ng tops and shirts nyo.... ;D

you can ask the SAs naman to measure you.

i've had this done at triumph and marks & spencer because i was unsure na of my size when i gained some weight. the cup size was the same though. haha.

I've had my fitting done at wacoal. I always thought I was 32A. Turns out that since I've gained weight, I'm now 34B. That's why even if you think you know your size, have yourself measured every now and then.

I agree that the SAs can help you check your measurements before making a purchase.  But it will also help if you know your own size (do your own measurements) and fit the bras in different sizes.  One thing kasi that I don't like with the SAs is they would insist you to go a size bigger if they couldn't give you the cup size you want.  Example, I want a 34C, which is a bit hard to find locally, pag wala they would say na pwede yung 36A.  I'm sorry but cup size and the size of the bra itself is entirely different.

Sa Wacoal & Olga ako sinukat, a few years ago pa ata iyon. mukhang systematic naman yung pagkuha nila ng measurements, kasi talagang may reference chart pa sila, & pareho ako ng size sa kanilang dalawa.

ay naku i think wala kasi nyan sa pinas, i mean yung talagang gagawin nila to know your size ??? kapag nagpafitting ka sa SA natin, parang sigurado na may kakasya sayo na produkto nila.

dito satin kasi maliliit ang mga sizes, like sa wacoal C lang ang nabibili ko kasi hanggang C lang sila. talagang lumuluwa yung pusngi ng boobs ko :o same with La Senza. then nung nagpa-sizing ako sa VS, ayon finally na-diagnose ang problema ko -  i'm a 34DD. :o problema ko ngayon dito pag nagkagutay gutay na yung inuwi kong bra, san ako sa pinas maghanap na big cups na comfortable ???

I never had a bra fitting, just measured my bust size and know that I have a small bust, so I assume a 34a. haha
I badly need to have a fitting! thanks for the suggestion.

I measured myself then entered my measurements into an online calculator. I'm supposed to be a 28C. Eh san naman ako makakahanap ng ganyang klaseng bra? T_T Mukhang tama naman kasi 32A doesn't fit me right.

^where did you find the online calculator? accurate kaya un?

kng sa store magpapameasure, e diba may suot ka nang bra ng time na un.. e ndi ba nun maa affect [textspeak!] measurement especially if in the first place the size is already wrong?

^ for me lang ha, when i ask to be measured, it's only so that i have an idea of what my size is but i still try on each piece. kasi minsan din the fit is not nice depending on the shape of the cup even it is the "right" size.
