i bought a nice shirt from French Toss, a brand inside Robinson's Dept. Store. it's a simple cotton shirt, but it fits nicely! not bad for just under P300...hindi pa frumpy ang style like other brands. meron silang sizes up to 3XL

hi mga sis!

share ko lang na naka-bili ako kahapon ng dress (wrap-around, 3/4 sleeves, knee-length) sa Kisses & Co. (Robinsons Metro East branch). I was surprised because I always thought na pang-model figure ang mga clothes doon, but I was proven wrong. I'm a size 14 US (16 on bloated days) and yung large sa Kisses & Co. nagkasya sa akin. 50% off pa, so naka-save din ako! Hehe. Problem ko nalang is kung ano'ng kulay na pang-ilalim ang bibilhin ko.

Pang office na blouse, sa paperdolls ako nakaka-bili. They have sizes upto 2xl i think, and yung large (dati nga medium lang) kasya sakin.

Hmmm... Hindi pa ako nakakabili sa DP, Zara or Mango. Feel ko kasi kahit sale na, mahal pa din and nagui-guilty ako kasi hindi naman kalakihan ang sweldo ko. hehe...

Mom ko naman(plus size din- 3x or 22 ata), for casual clothes, favorite nya yung Maxine sa SM Malls. I think meron din sila sa Landmark pero mas marami designs sa SM. Meron din jeans ang Maxine pero as mentioned by our other sisses sa thread 1, mas maganda ang fit ng Pazzo.

My mom also likes Bobby Novenario for slightly formal blouses. Gusto rin nya mga blouse from Boyet Fajardo dati pero I asked her not to buy his designs after the airport incident.

Mahaba na... Post ako next time pag may naalala pa ako.

^ i've gotten some good finds at kisses & co din a couple of times. i wear a US14 also.

there was this one tunic that i really, really liked the sleeves and neckline of but it was too tight sa hips. i bought it pa din and had it altered at alter station to make it a regular-length blouse lang. this is one of my favorites up to now.

for wrap-around, you may want to try just wearing a bandeau underneath. that's what i do with my wrap-around blouses.

share ko lang...last time that my mom and I went to 168 mall they were selling these plaid blouses for only 220 pesos each. up to size 25 yung mga binebenta nila, so nag-hoard kami ni mudra.

and in fairness, ok ang fit niya.

chrome-plated heart, i think the biggest size at kisses & co is 2XL but sizing depends on the style also.

the tunic i got before was 2XL and i have a wrap-around blouse na XL.

have you checked apple & eve for dresses? their sizing depends on the style din eh. i have dresses from there na XL and 2XL.

you may also want to try marks and spencer or debenhams. or dorothy perkins, sometimes they have nice dresses there too.

or kung nahihirapan ka talaga maghanap, maybe you can have one made pasadya na lang.

di ko type yung sa DP, m&s, saka debenhams. actually dun ako nabili ng pang office attire. pero wala pa ko nakitang type ko na pang cocktail. cocktail kasi ng debenhams, parang pang20s. yun namang sa m&s, medyo boring ang styles. sa DP di ko din type.

saan kayo nagpapatahi? yung modista namin, lagi sawi pag ako ang nagpapatahi eh, matronix ang dating.

yun ba sa pazzo na jeans, merong semi-flared/boot-leg?

^^ i have a modista in better living, near where i live. i usually just show a photo of a dress i like and she makes it for me.

with dp, m&s, debenhams and with most other stores, timing lang din kasi. depending on what collection is out, minsan may maganda, minsan naman wala.

what i do, since i know it's difficult for me to find dresses that fit nicely, whenever i go to the malls and i have time to kill, i browse for dresses and see if there's anything i like that might fit well kasi minsan chamba lang din. sometimes i buy even if there is no occasion kasi mahirap minsan pag last minute.

I'll be wearing a black camisole underneath. sakto kasi meron pala ako, so hindi na ako napagastos.

@ sis 1choi_ko9: sabi nung SA from Metro East, hanggang august 16, pero hindi lahat ng items naka sale. Yung mga new arrivals nila at regular prices pa din. and the shoes, hindi rin naka-sale. Sayang nga kasi may type ako na peeptoe

@ sis chrome-plated heart: i'm not sure about the semi-flared/boot-leg, hindi kasi ako nagtatanong.

Mas gusto ko kasi yung straight dahil malaki yung hips at thighs ko plus maliit pa ako (5"1 lang ata) so feel ko lalong nae-emphasize yung mga un pag naka-bootcut ako. hehe...

we wear the same size (US 14) and we're about the same height too. though i'd like to think i'm 5' 1.3/4". hehe.

same on the preference on jeans. i prefer straight cut also and was never really a fan of boot cut and flare.

i've gotten some nice-fitting straight cut jeans from pazzo. love this brand kasi mura at may size ako! have a couple of straight cut jeans from julia as well though medyo hit and miss ako sa kanila kasi minsan hindi maganda sa may crotch area.

@sis themildbrew - sa 3rd floor ng 168 (doon sa bandang food court), take a left from the escalator then pasukin mo yung nasa pinaka-dulo na aisle. It's the first store on your right. hope to help

DP has good flared and bootcut jeans. They also have a "petite" line for ladies under 5'3".

When I gained weight, dito talaga ako nakahanap ng jeans that fit my wide hips. I bought them on sale pa, so good deal talaga. I used to wear a UK Size 14, pero now that I'm back to being a size 10, I still find that they have the best fit for my body type.

^ I usually buy from 'sassa'. They have plenty of designs for tankinis and have sizes up to 2xl.

marks and spencers or debenhams although mahal.. there are a number of brands where you can have made-to-order swimsuits: kycs, salsatrends, badj swimwear, baileylicious, fartattu..
