ako naman, every first day of mense may cramps. As in mapapatigil talaga ako sa pagwo-work. After a while naman narerelieve cya. di na ko nagte-take ng pain reliver nun, tinitiis ko lang.

me, i started to have dysmenorrhea & cramps nung Colllege na ako.. siguro kasi i had all the exercises my body could get 'coz i was so active with sports (basketball & volleyball) training & dancing (glee club). Nung ng college kasi ako nawala lahat yun 'coz i had no time na.. At first mejo okay pa.. but then later on i had to drink meds na para mawala yung pain.. and need ko pa i hot compress yung belly ko para lumabas lahat.. Then nung nagwork ako sa makati no more na 'coz ang haba lagi ng nilalakad ko pag pauwi na para sumakay ng fx or bus.. So i guess it helped me a lot din..

How often do you experience menstrual cramps before/during/after period?
Also, I just want ask what do you do when you have dysmenorrhea?
I feel I'm abnormal to experience this every 1st day of my menstruation, I have a regular cycle so meaning I encounter this pain every month (since high school). :(
I wonder if I have fellow GT sisses who feel the same...
Sabi nila mawawala daw pag nag-asawa na is that true?

Thanks for your comments.

hi sis chocolatepink.. i used to have dysmenorrhea, pero lately lang naging severe.. as in parang may sumusuntok sa loob.  I consulted an OB and told me that i have endometriosis... my thread din nun dito and i have post din dun... you might want to read for information... but i would suggest to visit your ob before anything else... kasi i think yung sinasabi nila na pagaasawa para mawala, is because you'll eventually get pregnant, and when you get pregnant, magstop yung period mo... but better visit an OB para maadvise ka what to do... :)

regular period ko so before i have my period i get headaches. i exercise for 2hrs. everyday and have massages a few days before magka period to avoid dysmenorrhea.

before when i have dysmenorrhea i take advil and nawawala yung pain so i can do my normal activities. i don't know if it's bad though kaya lang no choice lalo na kung hindi tolerable yung pain and headache.

I dont forgive and forget... I GET EVEN!

when i do have dysmenorrhea, sometimes located sa isang side lang ng puson. minsan sa left, minsan right.

right now, left and masakit. pati lower back ko, parang marupok sa sobrang sakit. i treat myself with warm compress and lie on the bed. tatayo lang ako to change pads. useless ako pag may dysmenorrhea. hay, saklap!  :-[

not true din (for me) na mawawala yung dysmenorrhea pag may asawa na. like for me, i NEVER experienced any pain when i was younger. now, full blast na sya. as for my mom, sabi nya, nawala naman yung kanya. so it really depends.

I always have dysmenorrhea every 1st day of my period. Pero after I was diagnosed with a stage 2 na sakit, mas naging masakit na sya. Kung dati 1 mefenamic is enough, ngayon 3 tablets ang kelangan ko i-take on the 1st day palang. Scary!

^kaya kapag may nararamdaman dapat talaga punta agad sa OB. yung sa SIL ko inantay nya pa lumaki yung cyst bago pinatanggal yung isang ovary nya, binigyan nalang kasi sya ng 3 months para ipatanggal.

and so I scheduled myself to meet with an OB. First part is the consultation. I said I just want some tests to be sure. She recommended me to have a Pelvic Ultrasound.

I have dysmenorrhea too. How can I avoid this kind of pain? It's really painful especially my first day.

^sabe ng OB ko, since everything is normal daw after my ultrasound result, it's ok to take mefenamic kahit every 4 hours.

Avoid salty food daw. And I ask if any vitamins or milk will help - surprisingly she said wala daw kinalaman yun sa dysmenorrhea..

I went to my OB regarding my dysmenorrhea. kasi di talaga tinatablan ng gamot so di ako nakakapasok pag may dysmenorrhea.tapos backpain. based sa ultrasound ko, pinakaproblem ko lang ay retroverted yung uterus ko. meaning, di sya usual na position ng uterus. that causes my severe dysmenorrhea and backpain pag may period. aside from that, everything is normal naman daw. binigyan nya ako ng gamot, celecoxib yata yun. 2 times/day lang day before ng period. effective sya.

better consult an OB mga sisses. big help talaga yun. :)

eversince Highschool, masakit na puson ko every first day of my period. Pero bearable naman. Minsan lang talaga yung masakit na masakit.

Hot compress talaga works for me.
