Dysmenorrhea
« on: March 20, 2009, 01:01:46 pm »
How often do you experience menstrual cramps before/during/after period?
Also, I just want ask what do you do when you have dysmenorrhea?
I feel I'm abnormal to experience this every 1st day of my menstruation, I have a regular cycle so meaning I encounter this pain every month (since high school). :(
I wonder if I have fellow GT sisses who feel the same...
Sabi nila mawawala daw pag nag-asawa na is that true?

Thanks for your comments.

hi sis! yup, since highschool hanggang mag-college ako meron ako nito..

I have dysmen0rrhea to0 every time I have my period.. Usually from 1st-3rd day.. But I noticed na whenever nag eExercise ako, nawawala siya or nalelessen.. My OB prescribed me to take mosegor,instead..

advice lang, just because most of us girls are having dysmenorrhea doesn't mean it's normal.

2 of my friends thought it was only dysmenorrhea.

Better magpacheck up tayo kaysa ignore lang natin. Instead of taking meds everytime we have, pa-check up muna. Prevention is way cheaper than cure.

Ako I sometimes experience dysmenorrhea, usually pag first day ng period. Nawawala siya if I exercise.

My dad's sisters really get bad bad dysmenorrhea and I seemed to have inherited this too. But good thing lang is I have unbelievably high tolerance sa pain, pero masakit pa rin talaga, and sometimes I don't go to school kasi di ko talaga kinakaya. Okay lang naman daw, no cysts or anything, i make sure I see my OB once every year for annual check-up (very important).

It also helps to do a couple of exercises. When I'm in the think of the pain, I do the crouching dog position, get on your knees (crouching) like a dog, and stick your butt out as far as you can. It helps the pain  ;)

i used to have a really painful case of dysmenorrhea for years and would only rely on midol to alleviate and eventually remove the pain. but since i started taking ocp, no more dysmenorrhea for me. konting "tusok" of pain na lang on the first day. :)

pansin ko lang kapag before dumating ang period ko, nagccrave ako ng manggang hilaw and when i give in sa cravings na yun, inaasahan ko na na may dysmenorrhea na ako niyan.

may nabasa ako before, days before your period, if ma-dysmenorrhea kang magmenstruate, try taking ibuprofen tablets kaagad daw to leesen the pain. it works for me :)

ako laging nagddysmenorrhea. it just stopped when i started taking pills. then i stopped the pills kasi hindi maganda side effect sa akin. now, i just took grapeseed extract. i was surprised, it regulates my menstruation and super light flow lang, no cramps.

sis Tatiana will try that also, since every month 1st day of period may cramps talaga ako.

sis Cheesecak3 matagal pa ako magtitiis kung ganun...

sis dyan_sk8 advil works for me also, and any mefenamic meds.
