i think this is interesting, thinking another person from another side of the world is sending you postcard. question though, can you write a little note in the postcard?

yup you can. I also attach a sticker with my name and address as a subtle way of telling them to send me a card back. So far isa pa lang ang naka-halata, yung tiga-China. I just received a postcard this week from France. :D

I'm glad I've found this thread. Signed up and looking forward to my first postcard! Naalala ko tuloy teenage years ko when FBs were the "in" thing.

So far, mga natanggap ko pa lang are from US, China, Finland {2}, and France. Or gawa na lang kaya ko from my photos?

^sis try to buy postcards sa National Bookstore main branch in Cubao. In fairness marami silang designs to choose from doon. sa 250 pesos super dami mo nang mabibili.

Any updates mga sis? :D

I just went to National Bookstore earlier and I don't like the postcards that are available there. I found some of the postcards I collected in the past plus yung mga binigay sa akin ng mga friends ko. I noticed na mas maganda yung mga postcards na nabili ko before compared to the postcards I can find in bookstores now.

Although there are other countries like Italy, Lithuania and Brazil..pansin ko lang kung hindi pa direct swap, sobrang bihira makakuha ng Asian country.

So humirit ako ng "Do you know that in our country, Kapre refers to a mythical giant who smokes tobacco in trees? Just a little tidbit from the Philippines." Na-offend yata.

^haha. Nakakatuwa naman yung hirit mo about kapre, sis.

I just sent 3 postcards earlier sa PhilPost outlet sa isang mall dito. I just hope umabot sa mga pinadalhan ko.

While in the mall, I had a look around the school supplies section again to look for nice postcards I can send. :( Do you know of shops selling other postcards na yung hindi national heroes, presidents, sceneries or festivals ang design? I was sorely tempted to buy kaya lang gusto ko stamped eh.

Share ko lang as postcard hobbyists: Meron akong sinalihan noon sa yahoo groups called "trading postcards". very active sila dun pero mostly from different states in the U.S.

Nakaka-enjoy mga sis. Goal ko kasi noon, to have postcards in every country. Penpal thing helps. :)
Let's do the back read yo! :)

One of the 5 postcards I sent was registered earlier. I'm glad the recipient liked it. Meron palang may mga gustong makareceive ng handmade or diy cards. I wanted to send one but I think photopapers aren't as thick as normal postcards. Have you tried sending handmade or diy postcards?

^Merong mga PhilPost outlets sa malls. :)

After a month I finally received 3 postcards from PostCrossing. 2 from Taiwan and 1 from a German living in France. I also received one from the Postcard Project. These cards made my day. :D

I'm still looking for other postcards which aren't about tourist spots/local heroes/cultural stuff.

Are you still doing postcard swaps, postcrossing and collecting postcards? :)

aoshi_01 , baka na-offend nga sya sa kapre trivia mo haha.  ;D

I think you'll love Ayala Museum's postcards, lalo na yung ancient gold natin. Bongga! I bought a set that I'm supposed to send via Postcrossing. I ended up keeping it for myself. Haha!

Walang postcards being sold. So I resolved to buy postcards here in Manila and ask my newfound friends in those places to send the postcards for me. Para the recipients would see the stamps na galing pa talaga dun.

Because of my hectic skeds I haven't been able to send and receive postcards for months and I miss it! Bought some postcards from the Gardens by the Bay souvenir shop but I don't think I wanna send those.

Sad. I think I lost around 1/3 of my collection from the floods here last year. :(
