i am a new fan of scrapbooking.. actually, i havent started anything, but a fews ago i've bought some starting materials already...

addicting ang pagbibili ng materials lalo na pag ang daming choices... i normally check out national bookstore and sm department store office supply section... kaya lang its very costly... 1pack of sticker/embelishment P100 na agad...

i plan to buy stencils and papers naman para i can work on my stored wallet size pics of my bf and i...

i plan to combine pictures and other memorabilias:)

if anyone knows kung san pa makakabili ng mga gamit na hindi naman expensive, please inform me mga sis:)

i'm also into scrapbook.. one of the things na ginawa ko ay nung 18th birthday ko, where my guest put their messages for me..

iamorange25: di ko den alam kung san makabili ng cheap scrapbooking materials that's why halos lahat ng gawa ko DIY.. heheh..

i really want to learn digital scrapbooking.. pa'no ba yun? i have a scrapbooking kit na pero it's not working with picasa.. sabi ni hubby, dapat daw photoshop gamitin ko.. i dunno how to use photoshop eh.. ano ba yan? huhuhu..

ako!!! ako!!!.. i'm into scrapbooking.. hehe gaya nang iba... i bought materials from national bookstore --- meron silang section dun na i think imported... like yung mga gamit for stamping... medyo serious ako sa pagbili nang materials kasi ayoko namang masayang ang mga pictures... hehe... kasi pag ndi acid free... tendency nang pics eh manilaw in the long run... papangit na siya... ganun kasi nangyari sa mga albums namin datin yung mga slip on na ndi naman acid free... ayun nanilaw ang mga pictures...

ngayon i'm still into it, though ndi na masyado, pero i still try to do some kasi yoko masayang ang mga materials na binili ko kasi i have 3 big boxes of stuff for scrap booking.

dami din ako natutunan pag attend attend nang scrapbooking sessions... nag attend ako twice organized by scrappin' moms... dami kasing sale na materials and totoo ang mga materials nila... aside from madami kang matututunan tips from it

thanks for this thread sobrang love ko scrap booking kaso nagstastart pa lang ako ngayon how i wish i could have time to do it. minsan kasi pag pagod parang ang panget ng kinalabasan ng gawa ko...sana i could learn from you guys.

You could also try joining the Scrapbooks Excange Yahoo Groups. They do things like eyeballs, scrap buffets and other fun activities, and of course you can also check out the members' blogs and layouts. It sounds like fun, but since I'm a digiscrapper, I mostly just lurk in the group and ooh and ahh over their creations.

I just started scrapbooking 3 weeks ago. I'm "documenting" my current pregnancy. I went to a scrapbooking store in greenbelt 1 but found their materials expensive. So I settled w/ National Bookstore.

I print my own background paper kasi bottomless yung ink ng printer namin

I just make sure to use good quality bond paper. I also recycle unused pages of nice notebooks and organizers. I came across 2008 Kahlua and Starbucks organizers that both have good paper designs.

I am only able to scrapbook during weekend. kaso pag naumpisaha ko na tuloy tuloy na. I only give up kasi nangangawit na ako or I need to lift my legs kasi manas na!

I hope I can sustain this

Scrapbooking is a very expensive hobby. Traditional or Digital/Hybrid. So scrapping on a budget is a very tricky thing. Materials are hard to find locally but thanks to Internet, we can now order materials online and ship to our home.

I know materials are very expensive in this stores compare to national bookstore but I think you're photos and memories deserves the best.

When buying materials please look for this following labels:

}photo-safe
}acid-free
}lignin-free
}archival quality
-It will prevent photo deterioration.

Albums- Choose sturdy, archival-quality album over magnetic albums (The materials used in magnetic albums can, over time, harm your photos.)

Page Protectors-
}Use acid-free
}Page protectors will help prevent photos from becoming soiled and will guard against fingerprint smudges.

Cardstock Papers-Mount your photos onto acid-free and lignin-free cardstock paper.

Tapes and Ashesives-Use acid-free and photo-safe tapes and adhesives to mount your photos and other embellishments.

Writing Materials
}Use archival-quality
}Acid-free and Photo-Safe

Cutting Materials- I suggest paper cutters/Paper Trimmers. I'm very bad with scissors. So I use paper trimmers.

Every time dumadaan ako sa craft aisle in this store I frequent, parang na eenganyo ako to try making scrapbooks.

Ang dami and ang gaganda kasi ng mga materials available, hindi rin ganoon kamahal. Minsan nga I was thinking of sending materials to my SIL who is in the Phils. so she can start this hobby also.

Have you heard about cricut? Medyo expensive to buy this machine but I saw this on sale, muntik na ako bumili. What held me back lang is that I dont have the time yet.
