pasensya na po medyo humaba post ko...
Last year (summer) and summer of this year, nag ikot kami for my son's school for 2 different reasons...
Initially, ang plan lang namin eh yung school within our area so eto yung mga tinignan namin:
(parati ko po dala yung anak ko para makita ko kung ano yung reaction nya sa school - this is one big factor to help me decide on which school to choose)
1. Early achievers Congressional avenue branch -
> ok yung facility nila
> worried kami sa security and turn over of kids to their sundo.
2. Dewey school corner mindanao and congressional ave branch
> hindi na kami masyado nag tagal dito since nahirapan na ako mag park. plus yung mga public bus madalas dun mismo sa tapat humihinto.
> medyo madilim yung school
3. Gingerbread house
> nagustuhan ng anak ko yung area. ok din ang waiting area for the yaya and kahit na along the main road, they have their own security and sabi pwede pa mag park sa loob.
> the teachers are from xavier (at the time of inquiry). they have their own curriculum and scholastics ang books nila.
> ang medyo nahirapan ako yung stairs and few steps sa toddler room going to the toilet. medyo naguluhan ako sa systema ng facilities nila.
And then one time, when I told my mom we were scouting a school for my son, she told me to check out cambridge in banawe ave kahit malayo.
-at first medyo nag aalala ako sa security and parking since it's along the main road.
- pero sa totoo lang, during our stay in cambridge sobrang galing mag trabaho ni kuya guard. very friendly with kids, strict with yayas in terms of kung sino susundo.i can see that he log down notes every day, like the time, plate number, the name of the kid and who fetch the kid. and nagagalit sya sa yaya kapag biglang naiba yung susundo sa kanila. kaya kampanti kami sa totoo lang kay kuya guard.
- PBEM curriculum.
- they have an outdoor play area. bihira na kasi ito sa mga small preschools eh. my son loves to play here.
- mababait yung teachers and the directress is very strict with the yayas.
- hirap lang pag dating sa mga school program kasi masikip. if walang parents they will be at the biggest room at the 2nd floor. by the way, okey din ang stairs nila. tama lang ang height, made of wood, and merong secured door.plus another small hall going to their room. so in a way, medyo malayo layo pa sa stairs from their room. also big kids na yung nasa taas.
- kapag with parents naman yung program, dun kami sa outdoor play area nila na may mini stage.
- re TUITION - mahal sila compared to other preschools. but if to be compared with other branches including the one in Cebu, mas mura sila.
ang importante naman, gusto ng anak natin yung school and yung kasama nila sa school. my son loves cambridge. we never experienced any separation anxiety during his 1st weeks of stay there last year.
dapat nga lilipat kami sa ibang school for this coming school year since nalalayuan kami. pero kawawa naman anak ko if he'll adjust to his new school, tapos he'll be kuya pa by july. and meron pa syang speech and occupational therapy sa ortigas weekly. so parang nakaka awa naman yung madaming adjustments for him.
kami na lang nag adjust. tipid sa iba just to avail the monthly term payment in cambridge...
