I used to do this. I used to make little knicknacks like berets and coin purses, and also angels and stars for our Christmas tree.

I'm currently combing the web for a free pattern for a little teddy bear - a long-ago promise to a friend that I have to fulfill by September!
I'll seek a four-leaved shamrock in all thy fairy dells,
And if I find the charmed leaves, oh, how I'll weave my spells!

I'm interested! I know the basic stitch. Kaso don't know na where to go from there, puro rectangular lang alam ko gawin. hehe

I have zero talent for this.  In grade school,  we had to learn how to crochet.  Rats!  I would bring it home, and my yaya would undo it and re-do it for me.  My lola would check if it was too well-done -- kasi mabubuko if it is well-done.

But I love those crocheted bedspreads (under which they put a plain bedspread) that my lola and her generation made.  I would watch her crochet, hardly looking at her, with her fingers going so fast -- while she watched tv.

Would anyone know where I can buy a crocheted bedspread/cover?   Big enough for a king-sized bed?  Thanks!

naku, meron pa ba binebenta na ganyan?

i think, all the crocheted products nowadays are already machine made. gusto mo ba yung original or yung machine made? If ever machine made, alam ko meron sa divisoria eh. not sure lang kung saan nga banda kasi matagal ko na yun nakita eh.

Naku Sis gusto ko yung handmade (ka arte ano) -- coz I remember seeing what was used in my grandlola's house pa.  Kaya lang well -- grandlola na nga (apo na ako sa tuhod) so wala ako na gets at all.  Now I see it in my grandaunts' place -- and my lola's.  Iba talaga, do you remember how these look like?  If flat -- intricate ang design, or the ones I do not see anymore -- patong patong ang design  :)

Pahanap nga ako ng matandang gumagawa pa.  They also fascinate me -- how fast their fingers move,  bihira look down di ba.   :)

ahh yeah.. alam ko yang stitch na yan. actually madali lang siya gawin.

I gave my aunties and ninangs and lahat ng tao tuwing christmas ng mga centerpieces na ganun design eh.

yung ginawa ko yata is flower na parang meron nakaumbok siya na petals. Tapos yung iba naman looks like pineapples.

It will really cost you a lot if bibili ka ng ganun... why not try making one? :)

^^ Naku, I don't know where to buy one eh, sabi lang sa akin nung binilhan ko one time ng bolero. Sabi ko kasi, how come super thin ng thread, madali maputol yun kasi delicate. Sabi lang niya, hindi daw hand-made... by machine daw.

CHOCOLATE,  if I will make --  hell will freeze over muna.  Zero skills ako dyan.
But in the future, should you come across someone who makes bedspreads/covers --  paki refer naman.

Thank you!  :)

ahhh, madali lang naman yun sis. :) pwede slip stitch na lang pag kabit kabit ng mga patterns. pwede rin chain, parang iloop mo siya dun sa kabilang pattern. :)

You can ask someone to do it for you.  I think the one in Dreams Galleria - they accept orders

Sobra ko ding hilig magcrochet... :) My mom first taught me how then napagaralan ko na ito sa school namin.  I made centerpieces, table runners, table cloth, and cellphone pouches.

Kailangan ko din ng pattern para maganda ang resulta.  May ginagawa akong bedcover but I'm not done yet.... sobrang laki kasi kaya it would take me more than a year to complete it siguro :D hehe
