^Same din un sis sa Frontline Plus, iniba na ata nila yung name from Frontline Spot On to Frontline Plus, yan nga yung nilalagay between their shoulder blades. Okay din naman yung spray kaso you have to spray all over their body pa unlike sa spot on na sobrang dali lang iaaply.

^ hindi advisable sis na ibabad overnight sa katawan ng dog yung sabon, especially pag medicated soap sya, kasi may gamot yun and the meds would seep in sa skin, baka malason din ang dog mo, especially pag small breed. and may tendency na baka dilaan ng dilaan because of the discomfort. apart from drying yung sabon pag binabad ng matagal sa balat, mas nakakatakot na baka malason.

para sakin, use medicated anti-flea soaps according to package instructions, and keep your dogs away from exposure muna sa lupa, since usually dun nila nakukuha yun especially pag malapit na mag tag-ulan.

^^sis I advice to use frontline muna kung gusto mo talagang mawala ticks and fleas niya, frontline kasi can kill even the eggs so wala silang ligtas talaga. use it for 3 consecutive months tapos pag wala na talaga pwede ka na magalternate ng tick and flea soap

suggested routine:

1. bayer soap when bathing, let the lather seep in for 2-3mins before rinsing
2. manual extraction of the ticks 30 mins post-bathing (para hilo na yung ticks and madali na to pull em out)
3. spraying of amitraz solution (diluted with water) on the dog's body
4. dont forget to clean the area where the dog stays using chlorine powder + spray amitraz after cleansing

this method done 3x (1 1/2 wks interspersed) has resolved one of my dog's tick problems (moderate ata yung tick problem nya). short-haired siya so we did no have to shave his hair. kung makapal fur ng dogs, i highly recommend you get them trimmed (pa semikal nyo) para di masyayang yung meds and para mas mabilis maresolve yung problem

^I've read negative feedbacks regarding amitraz that's why I won't recommend it anymore. Actually halos lahat naman ng commercial pet products may negative effects pero I choose those with few side effects and alternative with natural products para napapahinga ang sytem nila sa mga chemicals. I only use natural anti-mange/parasite soaps, frontline, ivomec then detergent powder in cleaning their area, I also do raw feeding once in a while for detoxification.

If frontline ang gagamitin there's no need to shave the fur, apply lang sa shoulder blades nila at kusa ng magwowork, it spreads throughout the oil glands and it will also kill the eggs at kahit yung mga kakapit na ticks and fleas mamamatay.

frontline wasn't as good as amitraz in my pooch's case kasi  :( i think i'd have to agree on amitraz having more side effects IF administered without a vet's RX and supervision. nakamamatay ang amitraz sa simpleng wrong rationing. mamali lang ng ratio ng amitraz:water, direcho paa ni dog ika nga ng vet ko.

kung DIY ka lang tas starting phase palang ticks ni doggie, frontline is your best bet.

kesa frontline ng frontline, a shorter treatment time using amitraz proved to be the 'healthiest' way to rid my dog off so much ticks in the shortest possible time. pati rashes cause by mites nya naaddress. fipronil alone could not do that for him unless i spot/spray it on till forever. mas delikado yun for him.

^anong nangyare nung nilagyan sya ng frontline? ang nababasa ko kasi you have to apply it for 3-4 consecutive months para mawala talaga yung ticks and fleas. After few months I will stop applying it on him, gusto ko rest muna at organic soaps lang gagamitin namin.

My dog is a shih tzu, he weighs around 5.3kilos. I buy the biggest dose of frontline ito yung for large dogs, at nagagamit ko yun for 4 months. I only use .5ml on him every month, kesa dun sa smallest dosage na isang gamitan lang. ang gastos dito ay nasa 100/month lang, pero kailangan bilhin yung biggest dose which is around 400pesos, whereas sa smallest dose na 350up per month.
