through my mom coz she's a nurse...
she went here through tourist visa then that time may kakilala na siyang agency here.. so when she arrived in the us, pinuntahan niya then penitition na siya. after a couple of months i visted her with my dad and siblings under tourist visit din. tapos my mom asked me to stay, so they applied for my adjustment of status although until now pending pa rin siya. kainis.  :-\

What the US Embassy is interested in nowadays, in terms of travel history -- is travel to countries that require visas (excluding China since they just want you to file an application and pay the corresponding fee;  you get you visa in 3 days).

Even if you have no travel history,  but if you can present yourself in the visa application as someone who is not a flight risk (it is not dependent on your financial status, by the way -- hindi kelangan mayaman ka,  just a productive member of society who can afford to travel, of course)  --  you will get your visa.

The easy way in to the US now is as a teacher.  Easier than a nurse.  When you leave for the US -- bitbit mo na your family agad.  And they are really so in demand there now.

My would be employer organized a contest online.  Sumali ako and i won 4th place.  After a few months, the employer emailed me asking if i wanted to work for the company... and that's how i got here.

^employment pass eligibility certificate. parang pre-assessment para sa employment pass/visa nila. you can convert the certificate into a long-term visa (1 year stay). madali na lang ma-approve for an employment pass/visa kung meron ka neto.
