What the US Embassy is interested in nowadays, in terms of travel history -- is travel to countries that require visas (excluding China since they just want you to file an application and pay the corresponding fee; you get you visa in 3 days).
Even if you have no travel history, but if you can present yourself in the visa application as someone who is not a flight risk (it is not dependent on your financial status, by the way -- hindi kelangan mayaman ka, just a productive member of society who can afford to travel, of course) -- you will get your visa.
