It depends on the age of the kids who will attend the party.  If they're toddlers and pre-schoolers, they will enjoy having those little tikes and bounce type of toys, a bubble show, puppet show, storytelling or a Gymboree party.  If the kids are older, they want more action - games, magic show.  A good host who can do magic tricks or ventri is another option.  Bear in mind that kids are easy to please but they have short attention span so activities should not take so long; otherwise, they'll get bored or over-stimulated.   ;)

thanks sis but yun ages din nga din yun problem ko, half and half sila! Waaa! I don't think I can afford getting everything naman. The puppets seems nice coz it seems to target all the audience. Maybe I can get the little tike super gym and either the puppet show or a good host that does magic tricks or ventri. What do you think?

I think ok na yung little tikes to keep the young ones occupied.  The puppet show will be a hit with the kids (and adults) regardless of the age range.  The younger ones will be fascinated by the puppets while the older kids will be wondering how the whole thing works (with matching silip pa yan sa "backstage", actually back of the curtain yun).  Yung host with magic/ventri, mas type talaga yun ng older kids (7 years old above) and adults.  The young ones (ages 3 and below) couldn't care less about magic tricks.   ;)

jaiaquino:

I had my son's 1st bday party last year we had sam as a host...he is very kid-friendly because his magic tricks were simple and he had a puppet show which the kids enjoyed a lot.  our theme was sesame street, and he had elmo, big bert, ernie etc puppets. so super happy mga kids. :)

our venue (indoor pool) is good for 5 hours.  which should i do first and gano katagal ang time na i-allot ko for each if i want na may:

1. cake blowing
2. song number by my little sister (mga 3 songs?)
3. eating time
4. free time (swimming & videoke for adults)

wala naman akong iha-hire na party hosost/magicians and such kasi 1st bday pa lang naman so hindi pa ma-appreciate ni baby yun.

ano kayang time ang magandang i-set for the party?
if around merienda, ok lang kaya na merienda-type yung food na kuhanin ko from the caterer? pls help...
you know you love me!

when my daughter celebrated her 1st birthday in Romania, we didnt have any games nor program. Main reason was that there were only 5 kids and thats including my daughter. then the invited kids dont speak english. my husband naman doesnt want to host the party. Aaah we did 1 game pala, bring me  ;). but it was all impromptu. i wanna get rid of the choc nut that i brought with us.

bumwi naman kami since sa 1st birthday party naman in MNL, we had games.

for her 2nd, wala din games. im just renting a bounce/slide inflatable. my daughter enjoys kasi slides. maybe i'll just prepare na lang din balloon burst. im also thinking of decorate your cookie activity. would anyone know a supplier for this aside from martha's cakes?

Kung wala pang 10 kids na a-attend sa 1st birthday, okay lang na wala ng games. Okay na yung kainan and kwentuhan na lang...

Siguro if you have a relative or friend with a great singing voice, ask him to prepare an intermission number para may konting entertainment naman for the guests.

when i had my baby's 1st bday, since there weren't a lot of kids that were coming, I decided not to have games na lang. Besides, it's mostly an adult affair. I dedicated an area for the kids though. I covered the kiddie tables with paper, scattered crayons and coloring books/sheets and other activity sheets. And since poolside yun party, some went for a swim din. OK naman nangyari. The parents were free enough to chat while their kids are busy :)

this july na ang birthday ng princess ko pero wala din talaga akong plan magkuha ng host. there will be 15 kids invited that includes 2 babies.
my plan is to let tha kids who wanna go for a swim come over to our house a couple hours earlier. tapos don na sila magswim, magplay.. bahala na ang parents to watch over their kids, then after tha swim, we can start na tha eating, pinata, activities that tha kids will be able to do on their own. bahala na silang magsocialize mas gusto naman nila un. im buying toys and games that they can play together..
