5. I plan to buy a chocolate Fountain I saw one at Anson ??? Wise kaya bumili for Future use din dba?

wala na akong maisip mga sis baka kayo meron pa po. :) :)

on balloon decor, don't focus or put almost half of your budget on the entrance/door and walls... focus on the stage... pag labas ng picture, for sure, less than 10% ng mga pics, hindi mo makikita ito... unless, sasadyain talagang picture-an or gawing photo op background yung arch or decor sa entrance.

don't focus much on the penny you'll save... even if this would mean na renting is a bit expensive than having it ready made...

for example, kung ang price ng tarpaulin backdrop rental is P1,500 pero pag nagpa-gawa ka eh P1,400 lang... don't grab the P1,400 right away... pagisipan mo muna kung after the party ba eh may paglalagyan ka nito or kung ano ang puwede mong gawin para mas ma-maximize mo yung worth... pero kung magiging kalat lang ito sa bahay at magiging sakit sa ulo mo lang ang pagli-ligpit or pagdi-dispose, parang hindi ka rin nakatipid.

mas makakatipid sa buffet than sa plated... so kung mako-convince ninyo ang caterer ninyo na pati yung sa kiddie meal eh gawing buffet, then better.

you are welcome...

for binyag... it's either you do it at the soonest possible time or isabay mo na lang sa first bday celebration...

if you have plans of having a bonggang first bday celebration, then be contented with a simple binyag and do it right away... walang standard na edad ng bata kung kailan siya kailangang binyagan... as long as kaya nang tumayo ng mommy at mag-travel plus may budget naman, then go... in that way, mahaba pa ang time ninyo para makapag-ipon para sa bonggang first bday party...

pero kung sa hindi maiiwasang pangyayari at more or less 6 months na ang baby bago kayo nakapag-decide na pabinyagan ang bata, then make a decision... either isabay na nga ninyo sa 1st bday celebration or both celebration should be a simple one na lang at bumawi na lang kayo sa 3rd bday...

bkit 3rd bday? kasi ito yung time na talagang nakakaintindi na siya at naa-appreciate na niya ang celebration... he/she can even tell you na kung ano exactly ang gusto niyang mangyari for his/her bday... kung baga, for them, ito talaga yung first nila...

on lutong bahay...

if yes, then you can proceed with the dedication ceremony and reception to follow sa celebration ng bday ni hubby... kung baga, ang madadagdag sa guest lists ninyo for hubby's bday eh yung mga kukunin ninyong ninong at ninang ng baby niyo w/c is possibly, talaga namang included na.

pero kung it's more of yung binyag lang actually ang naka-set at yung bday ni hubby ang isasabay mo para makatipid then... that's another story... totally another story...

better discuss this with hubby... baka naman kasi puwedeng wala munang celebration si hubby for this year... kasi ang laki ng difference nun... kung binyag lang, puwedeng intimate celebration lang... pero ang bday, hmm...depende pa rin sa inyo...

so analyze din ninyo.... hope this help...

some of my tipid tips:

1.  DIY - the invitations, activity pages, balloon decors and the AVP in my daughter's party were all DIY.  the invitations costed me P7.50 per sheet only.  the activity pages were all downloaded from the net, printed once, then had it photocopied.  the AVP was done by my brother.  unleash the creativity inside you.  i learned how to use photoshop, and learned how to make simple balloon decors.  not only nakatipid ako, but i had new skills learned as well.

2.  Google - maximize the net if you have it and the time to surf.  like the projector rental that i got really cheap, i just googled it.  the activity pages that i made instead of buying coloring books, were all from the net too.

3.  Divisoria - before i went on buying from the mall, i checked out divisoria first.  yes it was really nakaka pagod but it was super worth it.  all the kids were raving about the prizes that they got from the party, without knowing that i bought them in divisoria only.

4.  GT - hahaha!!! no but seriously, almost all of my ideas implemented in my daughter's party were all GT inspired.  whenever i have idle time in the office, i read posts of mommies and party planners here and get ideas from them.  i posted questions and get helpful answers in return...  and as a first time kiddie party hostess, i didnt go wrong with trusting GT.  hehe

DIY Kiddie Salon and Balloon Decor, at iba pa

1. DIY Kiddie Salon: big mirror with fur trimmings (di kinaya ng powers ko ang mga ilaw2x!), comb, brush, colored hairspray, hair pins, rhinestone clips, ribbons, baby powder, lip gloss, face glitter (dermatologist tested, P10@), and nail art.

naka-bili ako ng colored hairspray (washable, non-toxic) in landmark, ground flr. P60/each. madami colors, kaso last night, only 2 colors were available, yellow and silver. mabilis daw kasi maubos yung ibang colors. balitaan ko kayo if okay sya for kiddie salon.

2. i got my balloons from lollipop binondo. 3.8@ for size 12, 2.25@ for size 5, and 0.40-1.00@ for sticks. okay yung quality nya, less popping. only disadvantage: mabilis mawala yung gloss nya. advantage: even after 5 days, di naman na-deflate, maganda pa din (yung mock-up ko). nag-pagawa ako ng pillar stand (5ft tall) from my uncle. i looked for old curtain rods (10-12mm) sa bodega, then pina-welding ko lang sa base. he added a male-female screw type para daw kasya sa trunk ng car. for a 5ft tall pillar, i used 7-8 layers of size 12 balloon. since 4 balloons per layer (4x7), 28 on one pillar -- approx P120 lang! plus mylar on top P90@. all in all, less than P500 ang gastos ko for 2 pillars.

disadvantage: masakit mag-tie ng knot, nakaka-ngarag pag first time mo, pero okay lang, carry naman. first time ko gumawa nito, and i spent about 1.5hours to do the 2 pillars.

other decors i did: balloonderitas, and centerpieces. what i used: nylon string, double-sided tape, and curling ribbons for balloonderitas. big/small sticks, "tissue" wrapper, curling ribbons, scotch tape, and coin bank (as holder) for centerpieces.

3. Invites: 13@ - disney princess picture invite, printed by Kodak.

4. Souvenirs: DIY ref magnet. what i used: magnetic photopaper from NBS (P390, 5 sheets), kodak 8R print (P60@ x 5), spray glue (P200), and cutter. i was able to make 40 magnets.

5. DIY nametag, lootbag tag. what i used: sticker paper (A4 size, high-gloss, P30/10 sheets), colored printer, cutter, photoshopped pics. i was able to make 32 nametags, and 32 lootbag tags. may natira pang 2 sheets. saving for next event.  ;)

i checked in dv, yung 6 pcs na ready made themed-nametag, P25 na. e eto for P30, ang dami ko na nagawa. kaso di ko ma-quantify yung ink na nagamit ko.

^sis, re:balloon tutorial, i watched "solbebe2000" and "balloon animals" in youtube. si solbebe, di ko maintindihan salita nya, pero maganda yung pag-demo nya. si balloon animals naman, very articulate. actually, madami pa ibang available na videos in youtube. but these two are my fave.

re:ref magnet --
1. buy magnetic photopaper (minsan di yan alam ng mga saleslady, so try to look for it in the paper section)
2. buy elmer's spray glue (does not bleed-through, acid free, and does not warp or shrink the picture)
3. print your previously designed picture in 8R glossy (mine said: Thank you for attending my 7th Birthday party, details of event, tapos pic ng celebrant at the side; nga pala, it helps a lot if you know photoshop. i had 8 copies in one 8R size. mas malaki yung ref magnet ko than the ones given away in weddings. but the size naman will depend on you na.)
4. cut mo yung 8R into 8-10pieces.
5. spray the glue at the back of each piece, and then place it on top of the photomagnet.
6. daganan mo ng heavy book overnight.
7. cut with a sharp cutter in the morning.

disadvantages: feeling ko napamahal ako sa National Bookstore (NBS);  medyo mahina yung kapit ng magnet sa ref esp pag makapal ang naka-ipit sa kanya. kaso, gahol na ako sa oras, so wala ng time to look around in dv/recto for other sources of flat magnet. anyways, meron daw talaga sa recto yung medyo mas makapal, at mas makapit sa ref. di ko lang alam if easy to cut yun with cutter.

advantages of magnetic photopaper from NBS: you can directly print into it using your inkjet printer, and paglabas sa printer, may instant magnet ka na. but i preferred to have my picture printed in Kodak 8R, tapos, i glued it na lang. mas tiwala kasi ako sa printer ng kodak than my printer.

re: nametags: i bought my sticker paper (high gloss) also in NBS.

hi=) nakakainspire basahin itong specific topic, because of budget, i choose to have good food nalang instead of entertaiment and other stuff, kaya i plan to do the balloon decor myself, and find ideas for the give aways, and since i dont have games na, im trying to think of activities for the kids to do para di naman sila mabore sa party, im having it at a restau kasi eh....kaso, medyo kabado ako, di ko lam kung kaya ko to, and im afraid of what other people might comment...lalo na yun iba sasabihin sa kin na y ko tinipid 1st bday ng baby ko....

pwede kang magprint sa PC ng mga coloring pages tapos ixerox mo na lang para ibigay sa mga bata.yun nga lang buy ka pa din ng crayon. or you can go to divisoria ang buy yung may paint ng kasama,it cost 8 per piece lang sa baba ka bili.para may activity sila.
