^may branches ba na nagpapahiram ng mascot? alam ko exclusive lang ang mascot sa store party.

this is for my Ayana's 1st bday photos:

http://ellyn0803.multiply.com/photos/album/9/Ayanas_1st_Birthday_Fiesta#

balloons - DIY lang namin ni hubby and sister in law.

prizes and giveaways - we just bought them from divisoria. i love divi!

invitation - DIY as well, concept ni daddy.

cupcake toppers - DIY, idea ni mommy, hehe

i also coordinated with the party host regarding the program especially the games.

we also prepared some of the party music/songs. daddy also chose some of the DORA episodes so the guests (specially the kids) would have something to watch while eating.

Supplier rating

Theme: club penguin

Location: north forbes pavillion : 4/5

Pros: Easy access. Nice location. Nice design. Clean :)

Cons: although it is spacious enough, it  didn't feel that it was big enough. Maybe I expected too much.

Caterer:
Adults: k by cunanan. 4.5
Food was great :) presentation, taste and temperature. My guests were raving about it. Yummy!

Maybe my only rant is that they were not as accesible as they should?

Kids; Membrillo 3.8

Hmm, I only tried the spaghetti and it was ok. Nothing spectacular though. And the make your own pizza station wasn't a hit with the kids. They were too busy with the games :)

Food carts

Red Mango 4.5

Due to my kakulitan and my planners super powers ( go Kelly! ), we were able to get red mango! We were the first party that they ever catered, thus the not so perfect rating. Cart itself was amazing. Looks like a store! Yogurt was perfect! The only hitch was the machine, being uber new, wasn't able to work on time. They had to call the techinician pa! They were very apologetic and I understood them completely!

Guests were soooo happy that we had red mango. :)

Other carts. Taco cabana. Sabrett. And NY fries. Rating: 4.

Good old favorites. :)

Party planner and decoration:  Kathleen Dela Merced 5!

No Kelly. No amazing party. Hehe. She made it happen. Red mango - check! Nuf said. :)

Place looks very pretty too! She made the place look like a "club penguin scene"!

Cake: Les sucreries 4

Super Ganda! Have yet to taste it...

Party favors:

Penguin and accesories : 5! Super hit with the kids! All the kids had penguins and they got "coins" as prizes which they could buy pets (puffles) and clothes for their penguins! Cool cool!

Boxes, puffle ottoman - 5!

Make the long story short, the party favors made our guests sooo happy!

Host/magician - Ruther - 5!

He made the party so much fun! The kids were so engrossed with his act! Priceless ! :)

Gymboree - 5!

I made sure that my 1 year old will enjoy his party too so I got gymboree! 1-4 year old kids enjoyed this part sooo much! Super sulit! Thanks teacher Karen! :)

Photo

Ging Lorenzo and Ces Kasilag :)

Uber nice people :) will wait for their pics!

Video : thor

Avp: 5! I loooovved it! One week before the big day we finally had time to shoot for an avp. I am really happy with how it turned out. My guests were so happy as well! Thanks thor!

Photobooth. Baicapture. 5!

Professional. Clear prints. Friendly staff. Thanks!

Will post pics soon! :)

our party was a huge success! maraming glitches pero di naman siya noticeable. it was stressful and very nakakapagod since wala kaming party planner and sa bahay lang namin ginawa. but everyone had fun. lahat ng details, na-appreciate ng guests. the biggest hit was the makeshift fishball/samalamig station. there were some na di na umalis dun. cotton candy naman sa kids and teenagers. and last, yung tattoo/glitter spray station, pinilahan din.

id like to share some pics to give back sa lahat ng ideas na nakita ko dito. it was really nice to have an information resource like GT.

here's my supplier rating/kwento for my little boy's 1st birthday party :)

Venue: Riverfront Residences Clubhouse - 3
The function hall was really nice. Location is just right. But the admin is not so nice with us who is not a resident. They kept on insisting that there will be no parking slots for the guests but in fact they still provided us. What we don't like is they don't tell this to the other residents who had their party in the clubhouse also. And when we were trying to pay, pinapa-balik-balik pa nila kami.

Caterer: Adult: Princess Jade Catering Services c/o Dynamic Impact Events Management - 5
"the food was yummy" that is what most of my guests tell me. i didn't get the chance to taste properly the food on the party itself but during our food tasting, we really loved the roast beef and south china chicken! onti na lang nauwi naman food...dami bumalik na guests..hehe :) the presentation was nice also. they can provide balloons as a centerpiece for both buffet and guests tables :) nice setup! they even provided me and my hubby our own food...no need to fall in line..hehe. their waiters are really nice and very prompt :) they even assisted on distributing the Jollibee food for the kids which should be the job of the Jollibee employees...hay... note lang that they don't provide containers/plastics for the left-over food since they don't want to be accused of taking home the left-overs which is think is understandable. sanay lang ako na yung caterer nagpprovide...hehe :)

Kids: Jollibee - 1
ofcourse, there is no doubt that Jollibee food will be a hit with the kids. i gave them 1 for poor service! The shangrila, pasig mercedes and pasig rotonda branch gave me a headache (i don't want to go into details kasi baka mainis lang ako ulit. hehe) and i have to report them to their main office. gladly, the main office respond promptly and the manager of the pasig mercedes branch contacted me that instant! (natakot ata..hehe) they said that pasig rotonda branch will be the one to cater our needs. but when we were paying our downpayment, they were asking us to pay an additional 250pesos for the theme favors (invites, trayliners, party hats, nametags, etc)...required daw yun! i insisted that the manager that i talked to before didn't inform me about this and i will not pay any additional for something that i will not use since i already have those things. in the end, they didn't asked me to pay for it.

while on the party itself, i told them to bring the food at around 4pm but they already brought it at 3:30PM. so, it means lalamig ang food ng mga kids. we don't have any choice but to accept it. our PP sis emie, informed the Jollibee staff to just stay downstairs and come back at exactly 4PM for the distribution of the food. but came 4PM and they were gone...i called the branch and the manager told me na pinaalis daw namin sila! hay naku, pagbalik naman ng staff nila, ang sabi naman samin kinuha lang nila yung costume ni Jollibee. very inconsistent. buti na lang nabawi ng Jollibee mascot sakit ng ulo ko sa kanila.

Host/Magician: Darwin c/o Dynamic Impact Events Management - 5
He was great! but when he started the party with his balloon twisting he had a hard time catching the kids attention though puro 0-2yrs old palang yung mga kids that time. but when he started doing the games, magic show and ventri act, the kids and adults enjoyed it sooo much! he's really patient with the kids who are makukulit who kept on throwing confetti in the front of him. hehe. even our adult guests kept on raving about him!

Cake & Cupcakes: Dynamic Impact Events Management - 4.8
The cake and cupcakes were really yummy and moist! The design was really nice too...very creative! i just hope i was informed before hand that the design i requested cannot be done kasi di kasya sa cake. but anyway, the outcome was still nice (actually mas nice pa sa requested design ko. hehe.)! complete pa din yung justice league characters. i love the cupcake toppers :)

Mascot: Jollibee - 5
Jollibee was a hit with the kids especially with my little boy! oh, you should've seen my son's face light up when he saw the bibo and very lively Jollibee! i almost cry (buti na lang napigilan ko). he danced to the Jollibee theme song and stayed even the party was ended already by Darwin for the picture taking. and even danced a bit when Nobody was played. nahiga pa sya sa floor para matuwa mga kids and ma-iba naman sa pictures. nabawi nya inis ko sa service nila :)

Balloon Decors: c/o Dynamic Impact Events Management - 5
the function hall became so lively and festive because of the balloons! even the stairs going up to the hall were all nice! if we can just bring everything home...but most of our guest, nag-aagawan sa balloons...yung iba lang malalaki na talaga and mahirap iuwi...hehe :) thanks emie for the help! :)

Invites, nametags and guestbook: Me - 5
Love your own! hehe. i designed it and had it printed at UP. for the guestbook, we had it ring bind also at UP.

Tarpaulin: Hubby - 4.5
of course love your hubby's work. the rating is not perfect because of the printing shop, my son's face was a bit dark when printed....

Souvenirs: Photo Magnets by DigiGifts - 5
We did the layout and had it printed at DigiGifts. They are easy to talk with and put the magnets individually in a plastic cover...they even adjusted the color when they noticed that it will be a bit dark when printed.

Photographers: Hubby, BIL, CIL, friends, officemates - 5!
i think we had 10 photographers during the event all in DSLR. di ko pa nabilang yung may mga digicams lang...hehe. sis emie asked me nga: "may photo contest ka ba? dami mo photographers." hehe. i was really thankful na lahat sila willing to cover my son's party...as in feeling ko we're celebrities na pinipicturan ng mga paparazzi...hehe. actually, when i read the photo/video thread, nainggit ako coz' i can't hire a photo & video anymore because of budget constraint. but when the party started, nilabas lahat ng SLR nila and other gadgets and picture na sila ng picture. i haven't seen all the pictures but i bet they are all nice. thanks to all our dear photographers :)

Videographer: My dear brother - 5!
again, i felt sad na we will not be having an official videographer for the event. and we were worried also that my kuya might not be able to enjoy the party since he has to cover the whole event. but good thing he did enjoy the party also while being our videographer! thanks kuya! :)

all in all my son's party was a huge success! everyone had fun especially the kids...it was my 1st time to plan this kind of event and i was almost in tears knowing that my son enjoyed it so much! thanks to all our GT mommies...this forum helped me a lot in my preparations! special thanks to sis emie aka bluekaren and his loving hubby dada who was sooooo helpful and very patient with my endless questions! ;)
