last june 14, 2008 we celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday at Jollibee Greenmeadows, it was a success kahit simple lang very intimate and super saya ng party...its a triple celebration na din 1st,yung 2nd birthday ng daughter ko, tapos 14th birthday of my brother-in-law, and a despidida party for my husband's lola...its super saya kahit simple lang...enjoy lahat lalo na si kirsten...

     - I didn`t have any problem with Ms.May and Ms. Melanie...They` re very
accomodating though I`m kinda "makulit" :p ...It`s personalized talaga `coz
I`m the one who chosed the color even the flowers etc...Plus super YUMMY ng
cake and cupcakes...moist and not too sweet...mouthwatering talaga sya and
the HK topper  of cupcakes are yummy too, accdg to my SIL I wasn`t able to
taste the cupcake w/topper coz naubos na hehe...I only took the cake
and even it was placed in the ref for 6days, wow super moist and yummy pa
rin sya..as in... Jayszelle and I loved eating the cake while watching tv:)
            I ordered an 8" moist choco cake with 3d HK topper, 6pcs. of lollies,
and 60 choco cupcakes w/Sanrio toppers. The price is really worth it:) It`s
highly recommended

My Unica Anica's First Birthday Celebration last June 21'2008  buti nalang at d pa masyado malakas ang ulan ni bagyong Frank that saturday afternoon kaya d ako nastressed dahil dumating halos mga bisita namin..,pag uwi namin ng mga 10pm grabe na ang lakas na ng ulan hanggang kinabukasan na ng sunday!!! thank God talaga at nairaos namin ang bday ng princesa ko..grabe 4months din ang preparation ko sa party buti nlang at pinatapos muna ng bagyo...:)here are some photos sa party...

Dapat talaga sa Jollibee Kalentong namin ito gagawin kasi ito yung malapit sa amin at dito talaga kami nagpaparty. Kaya lang parang maliit yung place nila at yung parking area. So naghanap kami ni hubby ng ibang branch na ok din naman, at nakita namin yung sa E. Rodriguez at Ortigas Roosevelt. Mas una namin nakausap yung sa Ortigas at ok naman sila kausap. Pero yung sa E. Rod di talaga namin nagustuhan,ang tagal kaming pinag antay at di nagustuhan ni hubby yung party/function hall nila kahit medyo magkaparehas lang sila. Nga pala,di na namin naantay yung sa E.Rod kaya di na namin sila nakausap. Di naman kami nagkamali sa pagpili sa Ortigas Roosevelt kasi ok yung service nila. Maaga kamingdumating dun kaya nag antay pa kami, pero mabilis sila kumilos. Ang naging problem langyung baloon kasi ang nakalagAy "JIGSI" dapat JIGS. nagawan naman nila ng paraan. so Ok na din. Ang start ng party ay 1-3pm pero ang nilagay ko sa invitaion ay 12:30 maaga dumating ang
mga bisita. Aba! maaga nga, ilan lang yung dumating ng late pero dumating naman sila halos kakastart lang ng party so ok pa din.
On time yung food, yung party host ok din, pati yung games,nag enjoy ang mga kids. Si Jigs din sobrang enjoy kay Jollibee, nagulat kami kasi nagpabuhat siya kay jollibee. akala namin magloloko kasi antok na siya at ginising ko lang siya nung dumating na si jollibee.ang tagal din ni jollibee nagstay sa party. Ok sila until matapos ang party.

Thanks kay Ms. Ria Salazar kasi sa kanya ko ito nakuha eh. Nirefer niya yung website at pati ako nakitingin naman. Nagustuhan ko naman yung cake niya,kasi parang ang gusto ko naman yung ibang cake. pinalay-out ko lang sa friends/kumares (Thanks G (n@w) and Amie) ko yung design ng cake tapos email kay Missy, ok na. Ganda ng cake. Gulat mga bisita ko, bago kasi sa kanila yung ganung cake eh. nakakatawa lang kasi madaming nagtapon nung papel sa brownies, akala nila hindi yun kinakain,kaya nung sinabi ko na pwedeng kainin nagulat sila at binalikan yung papel...natuwa naman sila. halos lahat nasarapan sa brownies at cake kasi hindi masyadong matamis. At ang cake kahit ilang araw na sa ref, sobrang lambot pa din...super yummy!!!

di ko na ito pinagawa kay Amie kasi baka maging sobrang dami na niyang gagawin, at mabuti na lang na itong kumare kong ito ay nagmagandang- loob na gawin [textspeak!] kulang ko pa. kasi daw tapos na yung ginagawa niya at free pa naman daw siya. syempre naman pumayag ako....ayun, nahirapan naman kami pumili kasi yung 5 na ginawa niya gustoi namin lahat. kaya si hubby ang pinapili ko kung ano dun ang gagamitin, ok naman yung napili niya. pinaprint na lang namin dun sa friend namin. "Mare, next time yung wedding album ko naman ha,pero presyong super kaibigan ha"

ito naman pinilit ko talaga kay hubby na mag-hire kami kasi ang hirap kapag magdesignate lang ng tao. minsan nakakalimutan nakailangan pala niyang magtake ng pictures. at least lahat ng guest mag eenjoy lalo na yung relatives namin kasi di na kailangan bantayan lahat ng nangyayari sa party para sa pictures. di ko pa nakukuha yung finished products pero ok naman yung mga shots niya nung pinakita niya sa akin yung nasa camera niya. ok na din yung rates niya, siya na kasi yung nakita ko na kaya ng budget namin eh. sana ok lang din yung album at video.

Lootbags/prizes- SM Centerpoint at Divi

Di na kami kumuha ng lootbag sa jollibee kasi parang namamahalan ako eh hehe, biglang nagtitipid na) so sabi ko sa divi na lang.nung una kami nagpunta sa divi,pang prizes lang ang nabili ko. tapos sabi ng pamangkin ko kung para sa lootbag yung bibihin ko, wag na daw sadivi kasi halos parehas lang ng price at di pa daw masyadong masarap (lasang gamot daw).kaya napunta kami sa SM na lang. nung nagtingin naman ako ngplastic na lootbag sa Sm toys section, ang mahal naman, Php39/6pcs ng lootbags. nagsuggest yung sis ko na yung brown bag na lang daw na lalagyan ng sandwich yung gawin kong lootbag. buti meron sa supermarket. mas naging maayos yung lootbag. ok naman yun gamitin eh. saprizesnaman, ang daming sobrang prizes kaya angdaming nauwing prizes ng mga kids.kuha lang sila ng kuha dun sa may table. enjoy din sila.

nung naglalakd kami sa greenhills nakita namin yung t-shirt na superman tapos bigla na lang kaming nagtinginan ni hubby,yun pala parehas kaming naisip na yun ang gawing attire namin sa party. ang nabili lang sa greenhills ay yung para sa kanilang 2 kasi walang ng kasya para sa akin. yung kay Jigs sobrang laki din pero pinaliitan ko sa pamangkinko. sayanglangkasi sana dun na din ako bumili nung para sa akin at niliitan na lang din.di kasi naging pareho nung shade nung sa akin at yung sakanila eh.pero ok pa din naman,di naman nahalata nung mga tao.

Over-all sa party ayos naman lahat. nakakapagod pero nawawala ngang lahat kapag nakita mo yung anak mo nag enjoy at happy naman. si Jigs, pag uwi namin akala namin matutulog na, pero naglaro pang mga toys niya. Sabi nga ni hubby, wala daw kapalit yung kaligayahang nakita niya kay Jigs nung party niya.

- May pa lang, we already planned what theme my nephews will be having for their bday. We had Lego City theme for Khei's bday (July) and now Bee Movie for Khyrus.

- We just love Kathleen! Super dali kausap! She is super sweet talaga and gives her best to all her parties.

CAKES
- We had 3 cakes during the party.
- My sister bought a cake from red ribbon for my dad.
- I ordered a casino cake for him from sugarbox
- The bee movie cake was done by les sucreries
- We loved all the three cakes. The bee Movie cake was really super nice!

SOUVENIRS
- I chose bean bags for this party.
- It was done by Ms Shiela. I love Ms. Shiela! LOL! Super galing and quality talaga her works.

BOUNCE
- When I saw Chi's site (jaredinflatable slide), gulat ako that her bounce is only 3,500. I booked her immediately. Her OOT charge is 6,000.
- She is easy to talk to. She is just starting pero super professional. Sila una dumating sa venue. AND the 3 guys in-charge sa bounce were maasikaso sa kids.

PHOTOGRAPHER
- Ces Kasilag - I also love this girl. She was the 2nd photog during Joehna's baptism. Sulit talaga pag siya kinuha. Non-stop talaga sa pagtake ng pictures. Tapos na ang party and she keeps taking pictures pa din!

GLITTER TATTOO & FACE PAINT
- This was mabenta and pinilahan ng kids. Thank you, Ms. Shiela ulit.

Sofia’s 1st Birthday Party

Party  1: July 30 In-laws' house, Romania

Theme: Dora the Explorer

Before we left Manila for our vacation, I bought party Dora party items (balloons, table cloth, party hats, paper plates, napkins, etc). I was the one who fixed up the living room. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the balloon pump so it ended up blowing by mouth all 25 balloons!

Food: My mother in law prepared traditional Romanian food: cheese and deli platter, fries, baked chicken, mămăliga (a dish made out of cornmeal topped with cheese), grilled pork steaks, fresh fruits, bread, and mititei (grilled minced-meat rolls). I cooked my specialty – red sauce spaghetti. Mom insisted there’s no need to cooked pasta anymore, but I insisted since there should always be noodles during birthdays (for long life J). Super lots of food. I think there were food good for at least 50 people and we only had 20-25 guests.   

Games: There were only 4 kids plus my daughter during the party. I only prepared 2 games (trip to Jerusalem and Scavenger hunt ). Prizes are candies and chocolates like Chocnut J

Cake: My mum-in-law ordered a Dora cake for Sofia. I gave her the picture and the bakeshop printed the picture in edible paper. It was about 5 kilos heavy (they sell cakes by kilo). Chocolate in flavour with fruits and crème fresh in between.



Party 2: August 16, Shakey’s Libis
Theme: Dora the Explorer

Two days before the party, we had to rush my daughter to the ER because of an arm fracture. My husband wanted to cancel the party. But since the fracture is not life threatening naman, plus we were able to get a go signal from the doctor, we decided to push through with it.

Food:

For adults, we had pizza, pasta, spag, mojos, and oatmeal raisin. For kids, chicken, pasta and ice cream. We also had a giant pizza as additional food.

Host: We availed in the in-house host of Shakey ’s. Hats off to Mitzi. Super galing plus she was able to follow the things that I specified.

Mascots: Henny the Chicken and Dora. We got them through Shakey’s. Too bad my daughter wasn’t able to enjoy the mascots. She was asleep when Henny was brought in. Then she’s soooo afraid of Dora. She was crying every time we try to get near the mascot.

Tarpaulin: Layout by my friend and printed in a store near our place

Pinata: I bought a Dora pinata for Divi. Since the drawing doesn’t resemble Dora at all, I had a picture printed in a tarp. Added some ribbons to liven it up. Aside from the regular candies, I placed play money inside that they can use in the toy store.  It ended up, di pinansin nung mga kids yung candies! After they got all the play money, they left the candies on the floor

Toy Store: Mitzi had this cool idea of setting up a toy store. In all of the games, she gave out play money as prizes (I made the layout of the play money). The kids can use the play money to purchase items from the toy store. It was a hit! The line was long and you’d even see mommies and daddies purchasing items for their kids. Kawawa yung mga kids who went to the toy store without their parents…paano nasisingitan sila ng mga mommies and daddies. One of the people pala from Shakey’s said that some mommies were even asking for tawad J

Items for the toy store:   I bought the items from Divi, National Bookstore, Learning is Fun, Rustan’s, Shopwise, Toys 'r us, Toy Kingdom and SM.

Lootbags: Lunchbags by Shiela of let’s personalized it. I initially ordered 20 pcs each of Dora and Diego. Shiela was kind enough to meet up with me at Glorietta (I think she had a party then).  A month before the party, I realized I’m lacking lunchbags for girls. I ordered 10 additional days before we left for Romania. I had it picked up from 168 a day after we got back to Manila.

Balloom Burst: made by me. It was a game for the adults.

Contents of lootbags: personalized coloring book (dora theme for girls, diego for boys), mini slinky, stamp, magic pencil, crayons and assorted candies

Giveaways for Adults: Photo Brownies by enzuno.multiply.com. Layout for the photo done by me. Wasnt able to taste it but the guests said its good. What I liked about Missy, she even texted me after the event to ask if I liked the bownies. I think she read din about my blog about what happened to my daughter so kinamusta din niya

   VENUE: JOLLIBEE ABAD SANTOS
         
         VENUE - Masyadong maliit ang venue or madami lang talaga ang guest kaya     
         sobrang crowded more or less mga 170 guest ko.  Originally dapat dito sa may
         10th avenue branch kami kasi mas malaki party room nila up to 200 guest.
         kaya lang i prefer na malapit sa lugar mg mga in laws ko. Para easier for them
         na pumunta, sa side ko kasi lahat naman may service and im pretty sure kahit
         na sa malayo eh dadayuhin nila.
         
        HOST - di ako satisfied sa kanya. Hindi nya kayang mag dala ng ganong
        kalaking crowd. Halata sa kanya na naguguluhan sya
         
        SERVICE - mabagal ang service nila yung ibang guest ko nag antay pa ng mga
        15mins para maiserve yung food.
         
        SOUND SYSTEM - I dont like the tugtog. Puro eat bulaga sounds. Wowowee kasi
        pinapanood sa bahay kaya hindi uloy alam ni gab yung mga tugtog. Sana pala i
        brought barney songs cd. para makasabay si Gab.

   
        FOOD - we had spaghetti, burger, ice cream, fries for the kids and chicken with
        rice, spaghetti, ice cream and fries for adults

        LOOTBAG GIVE AWAYS -  lunchbags and assorted goodies, school supplies. I
        prefer pa rin kasi na may bag kasi naappreciate talaga nG kids yun... 120pcs.
        na yung pinerepare ko pero meron pa din ang di nabigyan. others kasi dumoble
        doble.
