Hi all! Grabe, just when it's my turn to make kwento na about my son's first birthday party,
saka naman na-totally blocked ang GT from our office so I had to wait and contain the excitement of making kwento, hehe!

Anyway, here are the details:

The birthday celebrant has sumpong when they arrived sa venue. I went ahead kase and I made bilin na let my son take a nap in the morning. But then, andaming tao sa bahay, and the lolo's, lola's, tita's were
there playing with him. So nakatulog na siya ng late na. And when all of them were prepared to go na, he was still sleeping, so they woke him up! hehe! So natuliro ata siya (he even vomitted on the way, kawawa), kaya ayun, medyo antok sa party niya, but at least behaved siya, hehe.
Yung sa setup ng venue, didn't invest so much dito since I'm one of those who are nanghihinayang to too much balloons na you can't take home, hehe, but I loooove looking at maraming balloons ha!
So konti lang pinalagay ko kay sis Imma.But still, ang ganda-ganda tignan! Colorful talaga! Maybe pag nagpa-birthday ako, next time, if
girl naman, baka damihan ko ng decor. Parang girly kase pag maraming balloons, hehe.
So there,the party started na even if medyo konti pa lang kids, pero sunod-sunod naman na dumating, kaya oks lang.
Some guests nga who confirmed they would go, didn't go...and some who said na hindi sila makakapunta,pumunta naman! kaloka! hehe! So the place and the food I ordered was enough lang, and we got to take home pa some food.
The kids and the guests all LOVED Alex's show! Some even saw him perform na in other parties, but they were still entertained! Ang saya-saya! Pati nga ako wasn't able to eat na kase I was watching him, hehe.
I think some guests nga got his contact number pa.
Basta...the party really went well! Medyo di pa ko nakaka-recover sa saya, and lagi ko tinitignan pictures!

This coming sunday feb. 11, we'll be celebrating the 1st birthday of my baby. Sa Jollibee lang & Spongbob ang kinuha namin na theme. Kami na ang magpoprovide ng  mga lootbags.
Tapos gumawa rin ako ng tarpaulin- for printing pa lang. Yung cake naman ng baby ko courtesy of my sister- lyvtela. Hindi ko sure kung kanino sya sa inyo nagpagawa.

Hi! I’m a silent member pero I’ve always enjoyed reading everyone’s birthday stories.  Now I’m going to share mine.  I know this is soooooooo long over due… didn’t have time agad to post the details of my daughter’s (Frances Nychole) 1st Birthday Bash last December 23, 2006 (been very busy).  Just the same, I’m sharing the details with you all because up to now… we are very delighted on how it turned out.

Theme: Fairyland - Fairies and Butterflies       
5 years ago, I told myself that if my husband and I ever get to have a daughter, I want this theme for her 1st birthday.    I made sure of that!

Date: December 23, 2006, Saturday
Venue: North Greenhills Clubhouse
Steve and I enjoyed preparing this birthday bash.  Early April and May (2006) pa lang, Steve and I would go out every weekend just to scout for a place.  One lucky weekend of May, together with my friend Myn (Nychole’s ninang) and Dexter, we went around Pasig, Mandaluyong, Ortigas, QC and Greenhills area to check out all the clubhouses.  North Greenhills Clubhouse was the only place where Nychole smiled (the moment we walked up the stairs pa lang going to the hall). Sbe namin baka sign yun!    And since super nice talaga the hall we had it reserved kaagad.  Though, we continued to look for an alternative venue until September (we were worried [textspeak!] na baka walang makarating na guests because of the traffic.   Last minute Xmas shopping yun and Greenhills pa!). We only confirmed North Greenhills last week of September na.  Siguro talagang meant for us  
We went to St. Clare and offered bread and eggs para lang wag umulan and wag maging ma-traffic that day... Surprisingly! It didn't rain! And hindi raw ma-traffic sa may Greenhills.

We enjoyed working with Betterpan.  So easy dealing with them—very open to ideas.  Thanks Edhel for referring Betterpan to us.   Super yummy talaga their Chicken Crepe and Fish Fillet!
Look how colorful the chairs and table setup turned out.  We didn’t expect that it would look that great.  When Lea told us she’ll be using 2 colored-table runners per table and alternate 2 colors for the chairs per table, we were nervous at first [textspeak!] baka the color shades won’t match the swags.  But we were overwhelmed the moment we walked in the hall.  Of course, everything looked good [textspeak!] Dynamic Impact did a great job with the over-all place décor.

Cake/Cupcakes: Jackie Ang-Po of Fleur De Lys Patisserie
The cake and cupcakes were made of marshmallow icings.  Cupcakes  para souvenir na rin sa guests.

Food Carts: Flavored Fries, Hotdog, Ice Cream and Mini Burger (c/o Dynamic Impact)       
Bentang-benta ito lahat! As in lahat… oldies, yuppies and kiddies…. We even saw one yaya sneaking for some….. hehe… for her alaga daw… LOL oks lang!

Nychole’s Gown and My Gown:  Designed by my Mother-in-law, my mom and her Couture
Lahat nagandahan sa gown namin ni Nychole.  Parang debutant daw kme.   Syempre fairy land kaya dapat naka-costume!

   Medyo pricey sila pero talaga namang magaling!  Sbe ng friends and relatives namin, invitation pa lang daw, mukhang big time na yung party.  We just wanted to make sure everything is perfect.

Host and Magician: Mr. Alex Lagula (c/o Dynamic Impact)       
Very amusing looking at the kids’ reaction while Alex was doing his tricks and mga patawa.  Lahat nag-enjoy talaga hindi lang bata! Pati matatanda.. mga waiters… lahat glued ang eyes sa kanya.  Super sulit and we are very satisfied!  The magic show was so fun…. Everyone was excited to join the games…. It was a wholesome attraction.  Alex really had a great job with his onstage act… the sequence of events… the adlibs…..the best!  We definitely recommend him.

Balloon Twisting: c/o Dynamic Impact
This was very helpful while waiting for the other guest to arrive.  The kids were fascinated with the twisting of balloons then forming it to something.  hehe.  Nychole wouldn’t let go of her poodle balloon.

Glimmer tattoo: c/o Dynamic impact    
This is also a crowd favorite.  Everyone enjoyed it.  Nychole had one on her cheeks…purple colored glittering butterfly tattoo.  Dapat ata 2 nito [textspeak!] ang haba ng pila ng adults and kids eh.

Bubble Machine & Bubble Show: c/o Dynamic Impact
Unahan yung mga kids to get inside the big bubble.  Medyo latter part na nga lang kaya medyo nagkagulo na yung mga kids.

Arnel’s super kind and friendly. Parang part of the family agad ang feeling namin sa kanya.  He was even in the house documenting every thing from the preparations to the venue.  I’ve seen a lot of good photos from very good and professional photographers.  Pero Arnel WOWed us when we saw the pics right after the party.  Sa uulitin Arnel ha!  We didn’t have any problems on requesting for shots… kasi ang kulit ng husband ko when it comes to pictures.  Very accommodating sya.  See photos at:    http://francesnychole.multiply.com/photos

Chocolate Fountain:  Betterpan
Chocolate mountain daw according to the guests [textspeak!] di maubos ubos... pati fruits... Super sarap daw kasi ng Belgian Choco nya. Sulit naman kahit medyo mahal.

Balloon Decors/ Balloon Blast/Balloon Centerpiece: c/o Dynamic Impact
Dynamic really did a great job…everything with the balloon setup,  galing… Simple lang pero elegant ang naging outcome after it blended with the swags.  Yung balloon centerpieces, di pa tapos yung party, kanya kanya na sila ng kuha hehe brought these balloons home…and would you believe… until now buo pa rin sila!  We decorated my sister-in-law’s four poster bed and Nychole’s playroom.  Until now, Nychole is enjoying the balloons! Sulit di ba!
 
Swags: c/o Dynamic Impact
Sa stairs, sa door entrance, sa hall,  we made sure everything looks elegant and not overdone.  Perfect yung shade ng swags sa pinag-usapan namin ni Emie.  Para light lang ang dating at hindi bigla-- 2 colors for stairs, another 2 color sa may door entrance… and then all shades pagpasok sa hall.  Like what Emie said, parang marshmallow ang dating

Hay naku! More than 10 dozens ata ito, ubos!  Pinag-agawan ng guests Yung iba, tinalon pa ng guests from the ceiling! hehe

Everyone was impressed with the stage. Kaya naman masaya talaga ako. And the idea of setting up a mini gallery of Nychole was truly unique!  Ang totoo, nahirapan kme maghanap ng easel stands for rent.  By accident lang namin nakita yung mga bamboo easel stands when we once visited the venue.  That time meron painting exhibits.  We grabbed that opportunity to talk to the owner.  Buti na lang mabait

Stairs and Stage Tarps: c/o Dynamic Impact   
Ang bilis nito nagawa! Saken lang natagalan hehe  I liked how the old picture was edited.  Nychole was cropped and placed on top of a big yellow flower. Nychole looked like a real fairy.   
   
Piñata: c/o Dynamic impact
We wanted to make everything personalized kaya pati Piñata kelangan face ni Nychole.  We were not able to hang the Piñata [textspeak!] sa sobrang puno nya ng goodies,   sobrang bigat na.  We asked Alex to hold it na lang tuloy.

Thumb print registration plates:   Got this from Color-Me-Mine
Everyone said this idea was so unique!  Matagal na namin sya balak ni Steve.  Hand print souvenir of Nychole on 1 plate, foot print souvenir of Nychole naman on the other plate.  Every guest had to mark their thumb print on the plates.  Below their thumb print we wrote their names.  Para when Nychole grows up, she would have a souvenir of all the people who were present during her 1st birthday.  Nice idea noh?

Theme: Dora Meets Diego in Fairytale Land: Emann's 4th and Esha's 1st Birthday Party

Games:

• Game#1: Find Dora's Friends - pictures were hidden under the chairs and 5 of those are pictures of Dora's Friends. Yung mga nakahanap...sila yung winners.
  Prizes: Dora Key Chains
• Game#2: Bring me (with a Twist) - children were asked to bring P500 bill. Then those who brought the item were asked to choose the prize or the money. Biglang umingay anf crowd!  tee hee!. The crowd was shouting to choose the money but of course the children chose the prize. You know how kids are¡Kmas gusto ang prize!  But there is another twist to stir up the crowd.  Since the bills were not chosen what the host did was asked my 1yr old daughter to choose either to take the money or give it back! again the crowd got wild. LOL. Esha chose the LOL (nice choce)! After all the shouting and cheering... I, of course, returned the bills to the parents. sayang! tee hee!
  Prizes: Max's Items (memo pads, pencils, crayons)
• Game#3: Coin Race   - Children were divided into groups. Each group was given a plastic cup. The team who has the most coins collected won the game. There is another twist...the coins collected were tossed into the crowd. The rule... only the children were allowed on the game floor. So kahit gano katempeted ang mga oldies sa pagkuha ng coins..bawal!

The Max's Personnel (sya na rin yung Host) was very accommodating. Sobrang napagtyagan ang kakulitan ko.    GT Moms, if you are looking for a party venue in Alabang...I strongly recommend it as a party venue. 

All the prizes were bought in 168. medyo challenging maghanap ng dora items. To my surprise mas madami pa ang Strawberry shortcake items compared to Dora. O well, I thought mas sikat si Dora. Next year alam ko na theme ng party ni Esha. tee hee!.

First part ng program syempre ipapakilala ang birthday celebrant.. then games... tapos eat na sila... tapos sabi ko lalabas na si mascot para sa picture taking bawat isang bata.. grabe ako din ang nag picture dito hehe.. 30 minutes inabot ang picture taking namin.. ok naman [textspeak!] di naman nag reklamo si mascot mcdo hehe [textspeak!] sarap ng pagkakaupo nya eh... nagpa picture din ang host.. at nanghihingi ng souvenir heheh.. sabi pa nga nya kunin daw nya kmi supplier hehe.. (sarap pa bday pala sa fastfood lol)

tapos may 5 wishes din si rovie... idea ito ng friend ko hehe...  kumuha kami ng 4 kids [textspeak!] 2 bestfriend nya [textspeak!] 2 naman may crush sa kanya at [textspeak!] isa teacher nya.. heeheh.. nakakatuwa [textspeak!] [textspeak!] isang bata ang haba ng sinabi prang nag propose na kay rovie lol...

[textspeak!] poppers nalang di namin sinunod [textspeak!] masyadong malaki ang poppers na nabili ni sis eh ang liit lang ng space ng mcdo olongapo.. delekado na sa mga bata....

sis jaq_mi.... haggard nga ako.. wahhh.. heheh pero masaya ok lang naman..medyo nanlalalim lang mata ko 5am na ako natulog, ni hindi ako nakapagpa parlor heheh oks lang [textspeak!] ako din ang photographer... un nga eh nasira ang video..kung hindi ako din ang videographer hehe...

Story: 

Dami nangyari sa araw na ito.. di ko nga na I post dito [textspeak!] sobrang palpak ang lahat.. LOL.. pero kahit palpak eh masaya naman kami. una, on the way na kami to mai's house para kunin ang cake at cupcake na pinagawa ko, kaya lang nakabangga naman kami.. so laking sagabal talaga.. nakakainis.. mali naman [textspeak!] sya  kami ang nasa right of way hehe. So aun na late ko ng kunin ang cake kay mai, tapos dumaan kami sa lydia's lechon at dahil sa tagal namin.... wala na maliit na baboy nabenta na sa iba..... paglulutuan pa daw kami.. nyak eh di lalo ng dumilim ang paligid namin..plus wala pang kuryente. Di tuloy napalobo ang mga balloons na kadami dami.. di rin napinturahan ng maayos ang johndeere truck ni rovic. Heeheh pero ganun pa man syempre natuwa mga bisita namin.. ang dami ngang pumunta di ko nga akalain na ganun kadami ang bisita ng mama ko.. hehe.. ang saya [textspeak!] inabot kami ng alas 10pm ata andun parin ang mga bisita ko [textspeak!] minsan nalang kami mag kita ang birthday boy tulog.. di nya tuloy nahipana ng kanyang cake kaya kinaumagahan na nya hinipan ehheeh

Lesson: Dapat lagging dala ang manual na pambomba incase na walang kuryentematutuloy parin palobohin ang sandamakmak na mga lobo hehe

hello everyone! check out this party i decorated...
i've been meaning to post this for the last month almost - hehe
its the 1st birthday party of the kid of my business partner and good friend (the celebrant was also my inaanak) - my husband and i decorated it (with the help of the urda park maintenance guy, the celebrant's dad, driver and cook, my yaya and my stylist and 1 practicumer from the LOL!

venue was urdaneta village park last march 3 - theme was a luau for her little girl.
there was no party planner involved - just me and the mommy of the celebrant - we both wanted something funny and different in terms of the decorations hahahha thats why check out the centerpieces! parang coookie cutter parties na rin minsan the decorations that you see kasi e. so we went to out of the way stores around town and had tons of crepe paper flowers made by our yayas...hehe swags - not so much since the ladder was dead - pero ok lang - it still turned out cute - i dont know why people keep saying urda is strict - we pretty much had free reign - LOL - siguro nga kasi - di kami professional party planners - mga nanay lang talaga - LOL

my favorite party elements were the styro decor that i had made - especially the ones hanging from the ceiling - we had a beachball, seahorse, hawaiaan polo shirt, fish, pineapple, sun, parrot etc.etc. made - though i still need more pics of that from the mom (pics c/.o john aguas), all the decor sa stage, the cake cabana (made out of our tiangge booth), the cake from ana baluyot - again we ordered it from her via text and email lang - ang galing talaga ni ana and all the kawayan stuff we used (made by the maintenance staff from the resort - we have a kawayan plantation there) and the centerpieces! and of course the fabulous lootbags.

check out her tarp also - made by the ever dependable spectrum - purposely made to look like a kid drew it - and her fabo taho vendor!!! the manong that really sells sa village daily! hahahha P1800 lang yata for 200 servings! thats the best food cart deal ever! she just wanted 2 foodcarts - taho and the sorbetero guy (from the caterer). she also had the best bibingka ever from la comida.
