^ kung may increase ang amo, share a bit kay yaya. pero pag wala depende na sa inyo if you want to shell out extra. :)

Annual increase whether or not may salary increase kami. Usually ranges from
5-10%. Pero siyempre if higher increase, the maids get a higher salary increase.

Ideally, every year sana may increase sila, same as other employees. But as it is, tumataas din ang SSS contibutions, tapos may Philhealth pa :(

reposting from other thread, mukhang dito kasi may sumasagot:

naka-6months na ang helper ko sa akin.

now I gave her 2 options:
1. increase her suweldo
2. give her SSS, na ako lahat ang magbabayad including her supposed-to-be contribution, ako na ang magsho-shoulder

by the way, I also told her na nagbibigay talaga ako ng 13th month bonus.

^hi sis, I have a friend na ganyan din. mas pinili rin ng helpers nya ang increase over SSS coverage. but I guess, with the kasambahay bill and all, baka prolonging the agony lang, employers will end up giving both SSS and increase

naiinis lang ako kasi sa helper ko nung kausap ko, parang nang-iisa eh... gusto nya iliquidate ko yung SSS benefit nya kahit di nya i-avail. nek nek nya noh! imagine almost P400 yun, masaya sya, P400 agad increase nya??!

For me, I don't give options or ask her kung ano gusto nya. Ako lang nagdedecide kung how much ang increase based sa performance nya. Di sha dapat magdemand as long as ok naman ang pasweldo.

I also give increase after 6 months from the date na nagstart.

For us naman, tama lang yung sinusweldo ng yaya namin (P10K) although some would say na some would comment na mahal yun. The thing is, we entrust to her our son on a daily basis coz husband and I work.

My son's classmates' nannies' salaries range from P6K up to P15K so I think OK na yung P10K.

For this month we will include the yaya in our company's payroll, which means company na magpapasweldo sa kanya plus benefits, transpo allowance, and rent sa boarding nya (she stays out).

Now pag nagloko sya, she risks losing all.

I give my yaya 8k.

Yun neighbor namin ang salary nila ranges from 5.5k to 8k pero hindi kasama ang food. Sila bahala sa food nila. (foreigner ang employer nila)

Usually ba how much binibigay nyo na increase sa maid or yaya? Saka after 6 months o 1 yr nyo ba sila binibigyan ng increase?

kagabi yung 1 maid tumakas habang nasa hotel kaming lahat...

I happen to know this because I keep the records of those maids na nakausap ko at mga employers nila and I realized na parepareho lang ang ibinibigay nilang number.

5k lang but pinagaaral din siya sa college ng parents ko. libre din all expenses (stay in) so i think okay na yun. malalaki na kasi kame kaya less chores naman na lang kailangan gawen. we had a yaya who was with us for 18 years. i think 8k siya nung umalis siya sa amin.

Just a relevant update to this thread. RA 10361 or the "Domestic Workers Act" was recently passed. It provides for the minimum wages, and other rights and privileges, that "Kasambahays", which include, among others, yayas and househelps, are entitled to.

Minimum wages are as follows:
Php2,500 for those employed in NCR
Php2,000 for those employed in chartered cities and first class municipailities
Php1,500 for those employed in other municipalities.
