Ham and Pineapple Sandwich :

For each sandwich:

2 slices of buttered bread

2 slices of boiled ham

2 tablespoons pineapple, chopped

1 tablespoon mayonnaise sauce

(To make mayonnaise sauce or dressing: Mix 1 teaspoon of pepper, 2 teaspoons of mustard and 1 teaspoon of salt with 2 yolks of egg. Add 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar. Add 1.5 cups of olive oil gradually, stirring constantly. As soon as the mixture thickens, thin it with a little more vinegar. Proceed until two tablespoons of vinegar, and all the 1.5 cups of oil are used. If the oil is added too rapidly, mayonnaise will curdle. Smoothness can be restored by taking the yolk of another egg and adding to it little by little.
 ;D

Chop slices of ham very fine and mix with chopped pineapple and mayonnaise. Spread on both slices of bread, put together and press lightly.

QUICK WALNUT OR FRUIT BREAD
        Makes one 8 x 4-inch loaf

        2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white or brown sugar
        2 teaspoons baking powder
        3/4 teaspoon salt
        1/2 teaspoon nutmeg OR
        cinnamon, optional
        1 egg
        1 cup milk
        3 tablespoons melted butter, cooled
3/4 to 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (or other nuts), or half nuts and half raisins or other dried fruits (dates, mangoes, etc)
➤Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease an 8" x 4" or similar size loaf pan. In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg OR cinnamon, if using. Set aside.
➤In a small bowl, beat egg until lemon-colored. Add milk and melted butter; beat until well-combined.
➤Stir liquid mixture into flour mixture. Beat until well mixed. Fold in nuts and/or dried fruits. Place dough in loaf pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until top is golden.

CARROT-ORANGE BREAD
        Makes two 8 x 4-inch loaves

        3 cups all-purpose flour
        3 teaspoons baking powder
        1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon orange zest (grated orange rind)
        1/2-3/4 cup sugar
        1 egg
        1/4 cup orange juice
        1 1/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons melted butter OR margarine
1 cup grated carrots, pressed to remove excess moisture

➤Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease two 8" x 4" or similar size loaf pans. In a large bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in orange zest and sugar.
➤In another bowl, combine and beat together egg, orange juice, milk, and melted butter.
➤Add carrots to the milk mixture.
➤Combine all ingredients and stir just until blended. Do not over-beat so you'll get a light bread, not too dense. Pour into prepared pans and bake for 40 minutes or until top is golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs.

CORN MUFFINS
        6 Servings
Look for yellow cornmeal in the baking section of large supermarkets or in delicatessens such as Santis and Chef's Nook. These muffins are similar to those served in a popular fast food restaurant. They're great with barbecued or fried chicken and barbecued spareribs.

        1 cup yellow cornmeal
        1 cup all-purpose flour
        1/2 cup sugar
        1 tablespoon baking powder
        1/4 teaspoon salt
        2 eggs
        1 1/2 cups whole milk
        1/4 cup corn oil
        ¼ cup melted butter, cooled
        1 teaspoon vanilla extract

➤Preheat oven to 400ºF. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan and set aside.
➤In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to combine and set aside.
➤In another bowl, combine eggs, milk, corn oil, butter, and vanilla extract. Add to cornmeal-flour mixture, stirring until just mixed. Do not over beat.
➤Pour mixture into prepared muffin pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Bake in preheated oven about 15 minutes or until light brown. Remove from pan and serve warm.

LONGGANISA PINWHEELS
        Makes 12 slices
These pinwheels are slightly more complex to make so be sure to read the recipe carefully and allot enough time to bake them. With the longganisa as filling, the pinwheels taste great and since they're already pre-sliced, they're convenient to take along as baon for school or the office.

        For the dough:
        2 cups all-purpose flour
        4 teaspoons baking powder
        1/2 teaspoon salt
        1 tablespoon sugar
        2/3 cup shortening
        2/3 cup milk

        For the longganisa filling:
        1/2 kilo skinless longganisa
        (or remove longganisa
        stuffing from casing),
        half-cooked
        2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 egg white, slightly beaten for brushing

Make the dough:➤In a large bowl, with a fork or wire whisk, mix well the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
➤Add shortening and cut mixture with a pastry blender or two knives, until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
➤Stir in milk. Mix with a fork until dough sticks together and can be formed into a ball.
➤Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead lightly for around 10 seconds. Press with rolling pin or pat with the hands into a 9" x 12" rectangle, around 1/2-inch thick,
➤Preheat oven to 450ºF. In a small bowl, mix well the longganisa and eggs. Spread mixture over the dough. Roll up, jelly-roll style, starting from short end. Chill until firm, around 10 minutes. Cut roll into 1/2-inch slices.
➤Place rounds of dough on lightly greased cookie sheets. Brush top of dough with egg white. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Remove immediately from the cookie sheets. Serve warm.

POPOVERS
        6 Servings
Nothing is easier than this quickest of quick breads. Traditionally these are baked in a popover pan but a muffin pan will do as well. Some bakers recommend preheating the pan in the oven before filling it with the batter while others think this an unnecessary step. We didn't preheat ours and got good results anyway.

        1 1/2 cups whole milk
        1/4 cup butter, melted
        4 eggs, lightly beaten
        1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
        1 teaspoon salt

➤Preheat oven to 425ºF. Use a nonstick muffin pan or grease a 12-cup muffin pan. Have ready one or two custard cups in case there's some extra batter. Grease custard cups and set aside with the muffin pan.
➤In a bowl, combine milk, butter, and eggs. Mix well to combine.
➤Stir in flour and salt and mix until well blended. Pour batter into prepared muffin pan (and custard cups if there's some extra batter) and bake until tops are golden brown, about 25 minutes. Be sure not to open the oven door until popovers are ready or they will collapse.
➤Remove from pan and let cool on a rack. Pierce each popover with the tip of a knife to let steam escape. Serve with fresh butter, jam, herbed butter, or fruit butter (see recipes page 31).

BAKING POWDER BISCUITS
        6 Servings

        2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
        4 teaspoons baking powder
        1 tablespoon sugar
        1/2 teaspoon salt
        1/2 cup butter
        1 egg
        2/3 cup milk
Sesame seed or poppy seeds, optional

➤Preheat oven to 450ºF. Grease cookie sheet lightly and set aside.
➤In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Using two knives or pastry cutter, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
➤In another bowl, combine egg and milk. Stir into flour mixture just until moistened.
➤On a clean floured surface, knead mixture about 20 times. Roll about 3/4-inch thick and cut with 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Put the cut dough on prepared cookie sheet. If desired sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds. Bake about eight to 10 minutes or until golden in color.
        ➤Serve with butter or jam.

SWEET SCONES
        8 Servings

        2 cups all-purpose flour
        1 teaspoon baking powder
        1 teaspoon baking soda
        1/4 cup sugar
        1/2 teaspoon salt
        1/3 cup butter
        1 egg
        1 teaspoon vanilla extract
        1/2 cup heavy cream
        Powdered sugar for dusting

        For the egg wash:
        1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk

➤Preheat oven to 400ºF. Grease cookie sheet lightly and set aside.
➤In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Cut in butter, using a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
➤In another bowl, combine egg, vanilla extract, and cream. Add to flour mixture, stir until well combined. Do not over mix.
➤On a clean, floured surface, knead dough gently. Roll dough into a circle about seven inches diameter and one and one half inch thick. Cut into eight triangular sections.
Make the egg wash: ➤In a small bowl, combine egg and cream. Brush the scones with the mixture. Bake in preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
➤Transfer to a wire rack. Sift powdered sugar generously over the top of scones. Let cool. Serve with butter, whipped cream, or jam.

PÂTE À CHOUX
        (Recipe from Bizu Patiserie)
Use bread flour when making pâte   choux; its high gluten content is needed for the structure of the finished product.

        2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
        1 teaspoon salt
        2/3 cup butter
        2 1/2 cups water
        2 3/4 cups bread flour
        8 eggs

➤Preheat oven to 375ºF. Put sugar, salt, butter, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
➤When mixture boils, add bread flour and mix quickly.
➤Stir constantly over low heat until the mixture becomes smooth and does not stick to the sides of the pan.
➤Transfer mixture to the mixing bowl of an electric mixer.
➤Using a paddle attachment, beat mixture and then add eggs, one at a time, until the mixture cools.
➤Transfer mixture to a piping or pastry bag with a half-inch diameter piping tube.
➤Working quickly so the dough is still warm when placed in the oven, pipe the dough on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silpat baking mat, allowing one-inch space in between.
➤The piped dough should be uniform in size but needn't be perfectly shaped.
➤Alternatively, you can also scoop the dough by spoonfuls onto the baking sheet. (Grease the spoon first before using.)
➤Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and fill as desired.

1 T mayonnaise

Roll up jellyroll style, starting with a short side; seal seams and tuck ends under. Place seam side down on ungreased baking sheet. Brush with butter; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

1/4 cup Mayo
1 can pimiento (chopped)
1/2 can of small can of evaporated milk

--mixed lang, tapos palaman na :)  What i do is ipapalaman ko siya sa bread tapos tino-toasted ko siya sa toaster, mas masarap kasi natutunaw yung cheese, parang pizza :)

Tomato Tinapa Cheese Toast

1 pc mini baguette, sliced in half
1 tbsp Star Mantekeso
3 pc tomatoes, sliced
2 tbsp tinapa, flaked
2 tbsp Magnolia Quickmelt Cheese, grated
1 tsp parsley, chopped

On each half slice of the baguette, spread Star Mantekeso, then top with the tomato slices, flaked tinapa, and grated Magnolia Quickmelt cheese. Place inside a preheated oven toaster. Allow the Quickmelt cheese to brown slightly. This will take about 5-7 minutes (on medium heat setting). When done, remove from oven toaster and top with the chopped parsley. Serves one.

Bananarama
(on sandwich maker)

2 pc sliced loaf bread
1 pc medium-size ripe banana
1 tbsp Star Margarine Sweet Blend
1/8 tsp cinnamon powder

Place the banana, Star Sweet Blend and cinnamon powder in a bowl and mash together. Make sure all ingredients are mixed well. Spread mixture onto a slice of bread and top with the other slice. Place sandwich onto sandwich maker and cook/toast until done (light on sandwich maker will automatically shut off when done). Serves one.

Crispy Crab Buns

½ c Purefoods Baron all-purpose flour
1 pc egg, beaten
1 c Japanese bread crumbs
2 pc crabsticks (kani)
onions, sliced into rings
4 c/1 L Magnolia Nutri-oil palm oil
2 tbsp Magnolia Cheezee Spread
1 pc hotdog bun
1 pc lettuce leaves

Heat the oil in a deep fryer (160-170ºC). Meanwhile, place the flour, beaten eggs and Japanese bread crumbs in three separate containers. Dredge the crabsticks in flour, beaten egg and finally into the bread crumbs. Deep fry the crabsticks in the heated oil until golden in color. When done, place crabsticks on a plate with paper towels to drain off excess oil. Do the same procedure with the onion rings. Spread Magnolia Cheezee on the hotdog bun (you may toast the bun for a few minutes if you wish) and place the fried crabsticks, fried onions and lettuce leaf onto the bun. Serves one.

^i'm not sure kung ano yung grilled cheese sa gossip girl, pero kame, we use white bread, tapos sliced cheese sa loob, pop it in electric grill (or kahit sa heated pan) with butter.  yun ba yun?

ang gusto ko sa grilled cheese may kamatis.  hindi naman siguro weird noh?
