UNmodified Wii is priced more or less 18K though I can't say much about the modified since it depends on which store has modified it.

Check in Greenhills. Canvas around and I'm sure you'll find the cheapest there.

^^ eternalpink, if you want original games at a lower price (most coz it's used but STILL original), go to Pinoy-N for the latest Nintendo-related stuff and go to Tom Nook's Bazaar and find the latest For Sale items for Wii and even the DS. :)

So far, most of my games, new and used are bought from this site. ;D

A modified Wii can now play non-original games as well as the original. Non-original meaning those downloaded from the Net and burned to a DVD disc. You can see those in every "gaming" store in Greenhills.

UNmodified Wii is the one that can only play original Nintendo Wii games. No one has opened the Wii and tinkered with its insides.

I don't really recommend modifying a Wii since it updates itself when connected to the Net and future Wii games will require a higher version of your Wii software. There are some cases where a modified Wii stopped working normally when attempting to download from the Net.

I still recommend Celtex when buying your Nintendo Wii (and DS) items. They're in the Theater Mall Greenhills. I'm not an affiliate or employee of their establishment but they haven't disappointed me in terms of the items I've acquired from them for 2 years now. ;D

I say, keep it unmodded. Only buy games which you REALLY like. Yeah, modifying can make you play any game for less price but it's not worth it when you have a favorite game you wanna play then the Wii just crashed on you coz of the modifications made to it. :-\

^I agree. :) Mom originally wanted the Wii to be modified for the same reason na we can buy more games kase cheaper. But when I told her how much it would cost (the modification) and the repercussions if she decides to have it modified sabi niya wag nalang. She'll buy original games nalang daw in the US - cheaper daw eh compared to the prices of original games here. :D

Just came from GH to get more Wii/DS stuff. Heh! ;D

Celtex Phone#: 7225589

Glad you see it my way, eternalpink. Yeah, it's cheaper in the US. I got games at $60 and compared to how much they sell it here, I got a good value. :D

But still, check Pinoy-N.

^Yup, I'll still check out Pinoy-N. :) Wait, $60? My mom said the last time she was there nasa $20 daw? Or would the price depend on the game? Anyway, I'll update nalang pag nag US flight siya ulet. :)

^^ Well, the 3 games I got have $60 value each . That's 1 standard game and 2 top-choice games for the Wii but compare it to the stores here, you're saving around P1K per game.

Yeah, just wait for your mom's update on the price. I got those games October last year so they probably changed prices or something.

^^ Haven't tried MySims but I think it has too much construction and not enough socializing to keep it from really flourishing as a good game. Social dynamics seem nonexistent and it doesn't quite capture the addictive qualities of the games it takes after. :-\

It's funny, though, that the Sims look like Miis. ;D

Oh, and let's just talk about the games in the other thread, aight? :)

Unmodded Nintendo Wii still costs around 17-18K.

I guess the only stores who offers those plans are the fancy appliance stores, though they're more expensive than Greenhills. Heck, everywhere is more expensive than Greenhills (in most items). Heh! ;D

Just check in the Appliance Centers in your area, hopefully you find one there. :)
