One Unhappy Customer
I am generally not one to complain about bad service, but I really can’t let this one go.
I wasted money and my lunch break to get a blowout (aka “blowdry”) at Visage Salon in Galleria. The dude asked me, “May body po?” to which I said yes. At the end of it, he grabbed a can of some shine mist and sprayed my hair with a flourish. When I stepped out of the salon, I began to feel that my hair was getting oilier by the minute. Instead of the bouncy, body-filled hair I was after, I got me a limp, oily mess. My bangs were hideous and stringy, with strands clumped together because of the shine mist.
I went to the gym (thank goodness for unlimited membership) to do some damage control–wet my bangs, shampooed them using soap from the dispenser (!) because I wasn’t willing to subject my whole head of hair to its third shampoo of the day. I washed it three times and blow-dried, and it’s still limp and oily.
I finally decided to go back to the salon and talk to the guy. I told him the problem and even ran my fingers through my hair and showed him my shiny, oil-coated fingertips. He offered no means of fixing it, even defending his work, and showing me the can of shine mist to prove that it wasn’t oil. He even insisted, “Maganda naman siya.” I so beg to differ! (You can ask my boss who looked at me and said, “This is the limpest I’ve ever seen your hair!” Incidentally, she had her own bad experience at this salon.) Makintab nga siya, oily naman! (Insert expletive here.)
I am never ever ever going back to that blasted salon. If they can’t get a simple blowout right, I am certainly not going to trust them with cut and color!
Did you get to talk to the manager?
I had a bad experience at a salon one time, sadly, I didn’t complain. But I swore I wouldn’t let that happen again. Mine was a very bad haircut, one that couldn’t be corrected or patched up because he already cut it too short!

Nope. Maybe if I actually had more time, I would have.
Yikes, I’m sorry to hear about the haircut! Fortunately, hair grows out, so we don’t have to suffer through bad haircuts for long!
