I know flowers are severely overpriced at this time, and that they are blatantly, unapologetically romantic, but it makes me smile when I see guys walking through the mall holding a pretty bouquet. I applaud their effort and hope the girls they’re wooing appreciate it, too.

I know restaurants have tacky paper hearts and Cupid cutouts stuck to their windows this week, so I completely understand some people’s disdain for this day. But whether it’s today, next week, or a completely random Tuesday in July, I hope you all find the time to celebrate love—whether familial, platonic, or otherwise.
