I am generally not one to complain about bad service, but I really can’t let this one go.
I wasted money and my lunch break to get a blowout (aka “blowdry”) at Visage Salon in Galleria. The dude asked me, “May body po?” to which I said yes. At the end of it, he grabbed a can of some shine mist and sprayed my hair with a flourish. When I stepped out of the salon, I began to feel that my hair was getting oilier by the minute. Instead of the bouncy, body-filled hair I was after, I got me a limp, oily mess. My bangs were hideous and stringy, with strands clumped together because of the shine mist.

When it comes to Seoul, Korea, the first thing that pops in my mind is the telenovelas that is shown on local TV. Recently, Skin Food, a leading skin and make-up brand in Korea, which is also equally popular in Manila, invited me to Seoul. The trip was an opportunity to know the brand via factory and store visits. Our host was gracious and warm enough to allow us to experience by fantastic walk the famous shopping streets of the city which was indeed needed for our much awaited retail therapy.

Wheee! H got me the Asus Eee PC, and it’s the cutest thing ever! He threw in a router, and Mumsy has been marveling at the fact that both of our laptops could connect to the internet at once from anywhere in the house.
It’s so tiny and so light, and I’m thrilled that I can bring it with me when I travel for work–got a trip coming up in a couple of weeks, and I’m stoked that I can instantly spew out an article after a shoot. Yay! The best part about my new toy? It’s got built-in Sudoku! (Am I easy to please or what?)

Congratulations to the Ultimate Warriors’ Malakas team, which placed second in Pool B (and tenth overall)! Hey, at least the team is moving up the ranks! Hehe. I missed the games (held under a scorching sun, I hear—they were all red that night), but stole a few pics from Doc Jerome:

Yes, I know, celebrating Valentine’s Day is cheesy, but as H says, “We’re lucky we have a reason to celebrate.” We normally go out at a later date–last year, we didn’t have our V-Day date ’til March!
This year, I offered to plan the whole thing, which was a mistake on my part–I was stressed out trying to find a place, because instead of going to a restaurant, I decided to hire a private chef. After the logistical problems, we finally had a venue, and Chef Maj Lazatin proceeded to stuff us silly.

A friend and I were walking when we heard someone say, “OMG! Talaga?” We both just looked at each other and cringed; we didn’t say anything (not while we were within earshot anyway), but Friend couldn’t help rolling her eyes. It’s one thing to text “OMG” or to type it (you shave off a few milliseconds that way), but to say it out loud…Sigh. It makes me want to say, “WTF?”
I finally made up my mind to get me a new laptop. What I haven’t decided on is which one to buy, and I’ve been thinking about it for over a week now. I have two choices: that 7-inch Asus Eee PC, or a regular 12-inch laptop (for the same price as the Asus).
I’ve done the whole pros versus cons thing, and am no closer to a decision: With the Asus, I get something super portable. It can easily fit into my bag, so I don’t have to worry about bringing an extra laptop bag (on top of my backpack filled with gym stuff, and, on some days, my baon). So I won’t be tamad to bring it with me. BUT it’s only got 4GB worth of internal memory—about as much as an iPod holds!
