Bye-bye, Chai
How come things I like often seem to be phased out? Like Nestle Alpine White. And the Chori Rice and Chocolate Mousse ice cream at Bun on the Run. And Striped Chips Ahoy! Now it’s the milk teas at Tea Square (the cheapest chai-tasting drink around—half the price of those peddled at coffee shops). Sigh.
finally i heard someone get sad about the fate of Nestle Alpine White! hehe.

Sigh. Earl Gray Ice Teas from Struan and Tangs. How I miss those. I used to buy two or three large ones and take them with me.

Thezahir19, I miss it sooo much! Maybe we should start a petition so that Nestle would bring it back.
Denis, Struan and Tangs was an awesome place, especially for non-coffee drinkers like myself. I think the prob was they opened before tea became a big thing here.:s
I wonder what other products people miss. There’s the McDo milkshake of course (which was resurrected for a bit, but which, as far as I know, is dead yet again), and good ol’ fashioned Serge’s chocolate bars!

Yah. But someone has to have the recipe for whatever they put into their Ice Tea! It was sooo adictive. I’d start and end my day with it. It was worth giving up coke for.
The absolute worst ice tea is at this not to be mentioned place in the Podium where they pour Hot tea onto ice. That was disgusting.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Chocnut died for a while then came back in a revised package.
The Mcdo milkshake is still here. It’s just not well promoted in the stores and not all Mcdo’s carry the equipment. The one in Galleria still has it. Just ask.

Galleria doesn’t have it…I asked recently.:)
Hot tea onto ice? Isn’t that how they do it everywhere else outside the Philippines? Dito lang naman ata uso ‘yung 3/4 sugar. Hehe.

Huh? I had one last week. Baka sira nanaman yung machine. The machine is still physically there and it uses the same material as the sundae.

Hey Tisha! Yup. They still have the milkshake in Galleria - except they don’t market it. The machine is that black thing with tubes coming out of it on the right side (that sounded so un-appetizing)

So strange. I asked the dude behind the counter if they had it, and he said no!
