Santa’s Watching You!
Ber months are very convenient for parents. This is when we can pull-out the effective: “You better be a good boy/girl! Santa’s watching you!” warning and have our kids immediately sit down and behave. My son, Mateo, immediately sits down after this warning, but quickly responds with: “Tell Santa I want Optimus Prime Head for Christmas ha Mommy?”. A Transformer’s head in exchange for good behavior. Fair enough.

Autobots, roll out!
A lot of people are surprised to find out that I received gifts from Santa up until I was 24 years old, two years shy of getting married and leaving our house. And I wrote to Santa up until I was 26 years old, pregnant with my first child, asking that he give me funds to build the perimeter wall around the house my hubby and I were building. I left that letter in the Christmas tree with a drawing of how I wanted my fence to look like. All my other siblings still get gifts from Santa (they’re 26, 23 and 21 years old) and the Three Kings.
Christmas in our house was about generosity and faith. We all knew who Santa was, but our parents kept on giving not to pretend to be someone else, but to keep the spirit of Christmas real.

I’m watching you!
It’s my turn to be Santa now, and along with Mateo and Amara’s wish list for Santa, I’m asking my parents to write theirs too.
another boring topic…blah blah blah..next topic please

I wonder what your parents are going to ask.
Time for a role reversal. Interesting. Keep it up.

Sabrina, please check out my other posts, Greek Drama, I Boot Them in Vietnam and style-swamped Manila. they’re not all about my children. And I won’t apologize for writing about them once in a while because they are part of my life. I write what I know about. If you find the thread of my post boring, click on the other’s, I’m sure there’s something else for you to find interesting. Thanks for the feedback! And if you ever come-up with topic suggestions for everyone, please let me know.
