Hello, September!
Can somebody tell me where the year went? It’s already September, then it’s going to be Halloween, then Christmas, then a brand spanking new year, 2008! Then it’ll be Holy Week, then summer, then my birthday in June, then it’s Halloween again, then Christmas, then again the year is over! Just like that! Get back here, dammit! AAAGH!!!
Ehem. Excuse that please. It just goes by so fast >sob<. Okay. Breathe. Take it one month at a time. Where were we? Ah, yes. September. The first of the berrrr months. And yes, it does seem to be getting cooler at night. And yes, I am starting to smell Christmas, just the barest tinge of it, in the air.
It happened one night as I was walking home. The air had a little cold bite to it, then I realized with a little flutter of joy that Christmas would be coming soon. Because, man do I love Christmas. The excitement and anticipation, though it’s definitely diminished from when I was small, is still there. Most people seem to view the approach of the Christmas season with dread. And I completely understand them: the traffic, the stress. It’s a huge hassle, yes, the frenzy on the streets and at the malls; but I’d like to think that root of that frenzy is the desire to give, to make someone happy.
Hello September. And advanced Happy Halloween, and Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, and hey what are your plans for Holy Week, and, and…ARGH!!! (Breathe…)
Here’s to a good month.
Love, Genie
Hay I was just thinking about how quickly time flies. I still remember finding out I was accepted to school in March … and celebrating your birthday with you last June! Time flies, but as long as we don’t get left behind we’ll be fine. Happy September. =)

I’m a year older this September! But not a penny richer! Argh! I, too, love Christmas. I actually love giving presents more than receiving them. It’s nice to see people’s reactions when they open your presents, especially people who never expected you to give them a present anyway. In fact, I have a Christmas list–one I’ve had since highschool. I just keep adding names (and deleting) as years pass. Your name’s still there, don’t worry!
