Bellyfest 2012: The 6th Philippine Bellydance Festival

On September 22, 2012 at the AFP Theater, the largest annual belly dance event in the Philippines enters its 6th year.  BELLYFEST 2012 brings together professional bellydancers, enthusiasts, and fans of the Middle Eastern vibe in one whole day of dance, food, music, shopping and learning.

Get a chance to join workshops conducted by Korea's Jinhee Kim, 1st place winner of the 2012 World Bellydance Convention and a multi-awarded bellydancer. You can also enjoy the sights and sounds at the Arabian Market, which features all-day performances by dancers and musicians, pocket workshops by Jinhee  and other experts, henna tattoo artists, unique merchandise, photo booths, and great food.

The festival culminates in the Grand Evening Show featuring various styles of belly dance such as Cabaret, Egyptian, American Tribal, and more modern forms performed by bellydancers from Manila, Bicol, Batangas, Mindoro, and Davao. The performances will be headlined by Jinhee, Jill Ngo's Goddesses of Bellydance, and percussionists Escape the C. The evening extraganza promises to be as colorful as ever as other dance styles such as flamenco, hiphop, jazz, and striptease will be infused in the program as well.

Doors open at 1:00 p.m.
