Stylewise Trends 2012There's nothing like a trend report to get your fashion juices pumping. As we speak, stores are scrambling to rid their shelves of the previous season’s dregs with obligatory sales—and after the mad dash is over, this year’s fresh new styles will start to trickle in.

What should you wear in 2012? We bid farewell to last year’s '70s mania and herald the return of the '60s and '20s, made modern with sporty silhouettes, brilliant sheens, and supersized prints.

But remember, real style is about taking a trend by the horns and giving it a personal spin, rather than undergoing a top-to-toe makeover. Mix and match your beloved closet-keepers with a few hip pieces, and you’ll have “dressing for the now” down to an art.

Click through the gallery to discover 10 hot trends that are making a splash this season!
