YStyle, The Philippine Star’s weekly fashion vehicle, celebrated the paper’s 25th last week in utmost style! With the help of film team Midnight Bonkers, YStyle put together a short fashion film called Femme Noir—a couture-happy play on the film noir genre. Starring in the film were 11 intriguing Manila It Girls bedecked in glorious '40s fashions (with attitudes to match). Click here to watch Femme Noir.
The city’s glitterati came flocking to the premiere of the film, held at White Space in Makati. Guests were dressed to impress in an assortment of ultra-feminine frocks and sophisticated, androgynous apparel—others even opted for avante garde cocktail couture. Femme Noir stars who were present at the event stayed in character, donning ‘40s-inspired fashion, scarlet lips, and pin-up girl hair.
