Q Channel 11’s resident party girl, Sam Oh, makes party dressing a breeze—especially since she practically lives and breathes all these happenings. In fact, she and eventologist Tim Yam have a new lifestyle show on Q-11, Events Incorporated, which will feature how events big or small are put together beginning February 28 at 6PM.
In a recent chat with FemaleNetwork, Sam dishes her own tips on dressing and getting made up for parties, how to accessorize, and what essentials to bring in your tiny gimmick bag.
How do you decide what to wear to a party?
You have to find out beforehand what the dress code is for those events that you’re attending because it shows the host that you respect whatever tone they’ve set for the event. Whether the event calls for formal, smart casual, or cocktail, it’s important to respect that. So try to find out beforehand. I guess if it’s a little more intimate, it’s a little more forgivable, right? So I think in gatherings like that, you really just kind of go with what you’re comfortable wearing.
