Makeup tips and tricks you should know

Dec 6, 2008 by FN's Trixie Reyna

makeup_tips.jpgWe may or may not be fond of wearing makeup, but as women, sooner or later we would find the need to do so. It would then help to know at least the basic tips and tricks on proper application, the most important makeup products to stock up on, and how to make cosmetics actually work for you.

This website gave some makeup advice to keep in mind:

1. Use a highlighter concealer to brighten your makeup. It covers critical areas such as shadows under your eyes and fine lines, giving you a natural glow. Apply it directly over, mixed with, or just above your cheek color and around the eyes. You can also use this under your eyebrows and to highlight your nose, to brighten your face. Blend lightly with your fingertips and brush up with powder.

2. The most important makeup products
you must have in your daily kikay kit are concealer, eyebrow pencil, mascara, and lip color. “Concealer will make you look less tired, while eyebrow color will give your eyes more character. Mascara will make your eyes appear larger than they are and more open, while lip color accentuates a lovely smile.”

3. To achieve a fresh, no-makeup look, use tinted moisturizing cream, light blush or bronzer on your cheeks, light coating of mascara, and lip gloss.

4. To look pretty and sexy in your makeup, wear only a minimal amount of blush, lip color, and mascara. The natural look is still the best look.
