Go original, wear your stripes

Jan 31, 2009 by FN's Trixie Reyna

adidas-preview1_1.jpgSporty or not, at one point in our lives, we have worn those iconic three-stripes. After all, they have been around for six decades.

Sports footwear and apparel brand adidas marks 60 years of being the icon for sports and style, and will do so with a huge party and the launch of its Originals collection.

Known for its iconic 3-Stripes Trefoil mark introduced by company founder Adi Dassler, adidas will showcase six decades’ worth of ingenuity in creating top-of-the-line sportswear with its anniversary Originals collection, which includes different interpretations of 60 years of soles and stripes, an iconic Women’s Select Pack, and a new partnership with Italian pop icon scooter manufacturer Vespa.

As if that’s not enough, stylish party-philes can also look forward to adidas6009 House Party, Celebrating Originality, happening on February 27, 7PM, at Embassy Super Club. Four other countries—Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore—will host their respective local House parties at the same time as Manila’s event.
