There are all sorts of organizations for countless interests, causes, and professions these days. Isn’t it then but logical to have one for local makeup artists?Launched recently as the first and only organization founded by and for makeup artists in Manila to date, The Makeup Forum (TMF) fills the long-gaping hole for such a beauty group in the fashion industry. Knowing this, the guild hopes to unite, offer support, and promote the industry of beauty artists.
Originally formed in August 2007 as a discussion group for makeup artists where they can share and seek advice among peers, TMF has grown into an official organization with the purpose of strengthening and improving the craft for the benefit of, not just fellow makeup artists, but all who share a passion for beauty. Seasoned makeup artists Lourd Ramos and Archie Tolentino sit at the helm as first President and Chairman respectively.
TMF members, which include both seasoned makeup veterans and up-and-coming artists, can all be relied upon where beauty is concerned. You can call on them for help in doing weddings and beauty makeup, corporate grooming seminars, corporate events, AVPs, and makeup workshops. Their members are known in the fashion, media, and consumer industry, as proven by their vast experience in editorials, fashion shows, print ads, advertorials, TV commercials, and TV shows.
Works of TMF founding members were featured at their launch event, in collaboration with Professional Models’ Association of the Philippines (PMAP), the ZOO group of photographers, and SAGA productions in interpreting the core values of the TMF.
