We are all familiar with the feeling of wearing a new pair of shoes: You admire its novelty and fab factor in the mirror, but you curse the torture and blisters it gives your feet by midday.
The good news is that you won't need to deal with that problem anymore because we've found the best solution that will keep your tootsies comfortable. All you need is a pair of socks and, well, your two feet.
Three days before you plan to debut your new shoes, put on a pair of thick wool socks and your heels, and then walk around your house for at least 20 minutes a day. This trick stretches the leather to adapt to your own foot shape. And to make slipping on even easier on the big day itself, dab a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the areas of the feet where you are most likely to get blisters.
