Experience the benefits of Belo skin care--without breaking the bank!

Nov 8, 2008 by FN's Trixie Reyna

A lot of us have wanted to try going to the Belo clinic for our skin care concerns—after all, who wouldn’t want to be one of Dr. Vicky Belo’s patients, which include a multitude of beautiful celebrities? However, we have often hesitated, for fear we couldn’t afford the maintenance, at the very least.

Those seeking to make their skin fairer and healthier would definitely be grateful that the Belo Medical Group has made their whitening skin care products more accessible and affordable for us who do not have the resources to be a regular patient in beauty clinics like theirs. Skin whitening, after all, seems to be a prevalent skin care concern among predominantly brown-skinned Pinays, as evidenced by several skin whitening products out in the market.

Their affiliate, Intelligent Skin Care, Inc., recently launched a complete line of products to address your facial whitening concerns through the three basic skin care steps: cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. Their Whitening Face Care Line promises to help you achieve fairer and better-looking skin in just a week.

You can easily incorporate these products into your daily skin care routine. And if you do not have such routine yet, it’s high time you begin one.

The first step is cleansing. Wash your face with a gentle wash before going to sleep and as soon as you wake up. If you have normal to dry skin, try their Whitening Face Wash (P78.75 for a 50 ml tube, P125.75 for 100 ml). If you have oily skin, your best bet is the Pore Minimizing and Whitening Face Wash (P82.75 for 50 ml and P131.75 for 100 ml). The soap-free, gel-type wash gentle removes oil and dirt as it helps whiten your skin.

After washing your face, close the freshly opened pores by toning. If you have large, visible pores, you’ll love their Pore Refining Whitening Toner (P46.75 for a 60 ml bottle and P70.75 for100 ml). But if you’re still blessed with tiny pores and normal skin, or are prone to dryness especially when toning, then the Moisture-Rich Whitening Toner (P44.75 for 60 ml and P68.75 for 100 ml) is recommended.

Toning does tend to dry our skin sometimes, that’s why you must always moisturize after. In fact, moisturizing is one of the indispensable skin care steps—particularly for women in their 20s and up. Belo’s whitening line offers two creams for specific times of the day: Night Therapy Whitening Cream (P199.75) and Day Cover Whitening Cream (P219.75). Soothe and allow your skin to heal by applying the night cream before going to bed, then moisturize and protect your face from the sun with the Day Cover (with SPF15) before leaving the house each day.

Using these products is hassle-free and should come so naturally to you if you know how to properly care for your skin. The best part? You get to experience the benefits of a Belo “star” treatment through products that fit your budget to a tee!

The Belo Essentials Whitening Face Care Line is now available in selected drugstores, groceries, and supermarkets nationwide.
