In its first ever Lipstick Colors of the Year Report, London’s Heathrow airport culled together the sales data from its beauty counters to decipher the favorite lipstick shades of women from all over the globe.

According to the data gathered, women from Manila tend to favor pink-red shades of lippies more. Is it true? While this data is limited only to that sourced from the sales at the airport, we went to ask some of our favorite beauty editors what they feel are 2015’s most popular shades. And though we found that their collective picks lean towards plum hues, one Heathrow did get right is the red part. So without further ado, feast your eyes on 2015’s most popular lipstick shades.
MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo
A red tube is a makeup kit mainstay but this year was the reign of MAC’s famous RubyWoo, all thanks to the incidental endorsement from Maine Menoza’s makeup artist.
L’Oréal Professionel in Pure Garnet
This deep red matte lippie looks great on any skin (as proven by us), and lasts throughout the day because of its richly pigmented formulation.
NARS Audacious in Deborah
If you want something with a little bit of shine, this deep hue which easily glides on is perfect. And you won’t even need to use a balm before applying since it already has built-in moisturizer.
Chanel Rouge Noir
This dark reddish plum color with a warm undertone has a semi-opaque coverage that’s very lightweight and creamy when applied. This lets you gradually build up the color on your lip as you can just keep adding to reach your desired shade.
Lancôme L'Absolu Velours de Caprice 193
Who doesn’t want velvety red lips? This liquid formula is easy to apply and fires into this rich matte finish and stays all day long.
MAC Lipstick in Chili
During MAC’s Fall 2015 trend review, they highlighted the return of the ‘70s red lip using this warm, orange-y hue that’s perfect for day-to-night use.
MAC Viva Glam I
This medium-dark lipstick with a cool red-brown undertone has a rich opaque color with a creamy finish.
NARS Audacious in Vivien
Described as a “red plum,” this berry lippie provides a full rich opaque coverage in just one application.
