In today's digital age where using the Internet every day is the norm and even youngsters own Facebook accounts, encouraging your kids to go out and play might not be the easy task that it was 15 years ago. But don’t give up just yet, FN moms! Not only are exercise and physical activity essential elements to keeping your children healthy, a study shows that students who are more active are high up on the academic achievement ladder too! So let your kids enjoy their childhood in the best way possible: by playing games outside and hanging out with kids like themselves! Even celebrity mom Judy Ann Santos encourages the same thing with her children.

If you used to play patintero with the zeal of a future athlete, then don't let your kids miss out on the fun that can be had with simple outdoor games! Scroll through the gallery below to see 10 of them.

How about you, FNites? What games did you enjoy playing when you were young? Share your thoughts in a comment!

I actually have played all of these when I was just a kid. Sad that our generation today doesn't have the chance to play it.
