Friendly Persuasion: 8 Ways to Help Your Kids Resist Peer Pressure

Peer pressure can make your kids do things they don't necessarily want to do. Help them fight it with these tips. By Karen Galarpe

Not all forms of peer pressure are negative. Some can encourage your kids to study harder or become physically active. Unfortunately, most tend to affect your children in less-than-healthy ways. However, this is hardly news. Everyone, even you, must have experienced peer pressure in the past. Of course, now that you're a parent raising kids of your own, it's almost impossible not to feel a bit worried for what may influence your kids when they're out of your sight.

How do you protect your kids from succumbing to negative peer pressure? Here are a few tips that might help:
