Arthritis doesn’t just occur in the old and weary; kids can be afflicted with it as well. Juvenile Arthritis is a disease that affects children of 16 years old and younger. Similar to what is experienced by adults, kids with this illness suffer from pain because of the swelling of the joints. Andy “Roo” Moy, a 13-year-old boy whose story has inspired thousands, is fighting to find a cure. Roo’s Crew spearheads walks and other fund raising events to disseminate information about the disease and to subsidize research programs that seek to find a cure.
