6 Tips to Encourage Your Kids to Brush Their Teeth

A child who doesn't like to brush her teeth will eventually develop cavities. Here are some ways on how to make the experience more enjoyable. By Melissa Fernandez-Abaya

fun-brushGetting a child to brush her teeth sounds simple enough. But if you’ve ever had to hold down a struggling toddler just to do this, then you know it is easier said than done.

 

At this very young age, children do not really care about dental hygiene. For them, brushing teeth is boring and time-consuming. Since brushing teeth takes time away from play, this can be very frustrating for a toddler.

    I usually do funny faces while brushing and my son emulates me. Now he is brushing his teeth by himself.
