kristine-oyo-inarticleKristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto were overjoyed by the arrival of their baby girl, Ondrea Bliss, reports PEP.ph. Kristine says that Ondrea stands for “strong and courageous” and Bliss means “unmeasurable joy.”

Kristine was due to give birth on January 10, 2012, but on December 26, around 6:00 PM, she was rushed to the hospital. The child was born through normal delivery at 11:49 pm, weighing 2680gm. This little angel was exactly what the couple wanted as they had wished for a girl even during the early stages of Kristine’s pregnancy.

Oyo told PEP that he was anxious about being a father, even though they already have a three-year-old adopted son named Quiel. "Sa akin kasi, you're not ready till you're there na. Hanggang sa wala pa, hindi ko masasabi (Until you have a child, it's hard to say)," he says. Still, his fears did not stop him from adequately preparing for the birth of his child. "I attended a birthing class—‘yung mga ganun, parenting conference, ‘yung mga ganun," said Oyo.

The couple had been awaiting the birth of their child with much delight, especially since Kristine had previously been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS, a condition that can decrease the chances of pregnancy.
