Paying tribute to Ninoy

Aug 26, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

In honor of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr., the Benigno S. Aquino Jr. Foundation (BSAF) has taken its year-long celebration of Ninoy's legacy online with www.IAmNinoy.com, a website that pays tribute to the former senator and aims to familiarize him to those who were too young to remember.

The website, which went live last August 21 in time for Ninoy's 25th death anniversary, also launched iamninoy brand concept merchandise, proceeds of which will go to the year-long IAmNinoy Campaign.

The campaign also includes a series of photo exhibits featuring the Willy Vicoy Collection of Ninoy photographs, which will be held from Aug. 19 to 28 at the Filipinas Heritage Library, Sept. 1 to 14 at the Glorietta Mall, and Sept. 15 to 28 at the Trinoma Ground Floor.
