What do Lea Salonga, Fernando Poe, Jr., and Sharon Cuneta have in common? They are three of the most celebrated entertainment icons, who have all served as inspiration for us. Their triumphs and achivements made us truly proud to be Filipinos.
They are also among the accomplished personalities honored recently at the Pinoy Icons exhibit, which features the works of Gallery 7, a company that transforms photos into pieces of custom-made visual art. With the aid of high-technology equipment, Gallery 7's resident digital artists transformed photos of these Pinoy icons into striking portraits.
"With this exhibit, we pay tribute to personalities who have made their mark on society and hope that people will aspire to be inspirations to others, just like these icons," said Michelle Lyn Robles, print producer of Gallery 7.
The exhibit also features portraits of film director Peque Gallaga, musical groups APO Hiking Society and Parokya ni Edgar, actresses Judy Ann Santos, and comedians Michael V and Dolphy. Meanwhile, boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, represented the sports industry.
