YouTube is my guilty online pleasure. Not Facebook, Multiply or gossip websites. It might be embarrassing to admit, but YouTube is one of the top 5 websites that I waste my time on.
I sift through the millions of videos everyday to find something entertaining. Yesterday, something on the featured list caught my eye.

You might have heard that Vancouver Film School (VFS) launched a scholarship competition in cooperation with YouTube entitled "What Matters To You" last March. Update: the judges have already picked the Top 10 and until May 27, the online community can vote for their favorites on www.youtube.com/user/vancouverfilmschool. The top three entries get a full tuition scholarship to any of the 14 arts degrees offered at VFS.
I was never one to vote or even comment online, but seeing the talent of the people who joined compelled me to do something. So I broke the record and cast my votes. Two exceptional entries really inspired me--the work of ramirez perez and Jr0canest. Both were dripping with creativity and passion. Their accent also probably got to me. The clips by charaisia, TheWalrusIAm85, and bluepacadurm were also very sharp and cool. All five videos were just brilliant!
I've always known that the capacity to make a difference is what matters to me the most. Then I realized that my one little vote can change someone's future--an artist's future. So if we're on the same page, make someone's dream come true and vote!
