Homemade barbecue or fresh from the restaurant?

Jul 1, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

In the United States, people bring out the barbecue grill mostly during the summer months and the summer holidays (Memorial Day and the Fourth of July) to take advantage of the warm weather. Thankfully, we don't have to wait for summers to set in since the Philippines is a tropical country and Filipinos love grilled food--sisig, inihaw na liempo, inihaw na pusit, pinaputok na tilapia, and more! That must be one of the reasons why there are a lot of restaurants such as Gerry's Grill that offer a lot of grilled food for meals and pulutan.

It got me wondering--would you rather cook your own grilled food or head to the nearest grilling restaurant for the sake of convenience? I know people enjoy making up their own marinades or using their own family barbecue recipes and don't mind smelling like smoke for the sake of serving inihaw, but some also prefer eating out if they don't have time to cook.

How would you like your own grilled food?
