Those tying the knot soon who are looking for creative new themes for their reception might be interested to have it a la Mexican fiesta. Mexican-themed wedding receptions are colorful and festive celebrations that put every guest in a swinging, tequila-swigging mood. We know just the place to get that fun Mexican vibe, and it’s just minutes away from Metro Manila!

In Antipolo City, about thirty minutes away from Ortigas, lies Casa Ibiza, a resort that captures the verve and vitality of sunny Mexico. Upon entering, guests are immediately greeted by abundant splashes of orange, red, yellow, lime, and blue that liven up the cool Antipolo atmosphere.

The brightly painted open-air communal dining area called Luna is a friendly sight that draws visitors in. Chef Mike Santiago can whip up a tasty island-inspired feast for you and your wedding guests as you dine under the moonlight. For starters, try Paella Stuffed Squid in saffron-aligue cream and chili oil. A great choice for entrée is Polynesian Pork, which is pork belly barbecue with sweet potato puree and Thai green mango salad. Finish your meal off with Ultimate Cheesecake, a light blueberry cheesecake made more delectable with grape, apple, ripe mango, and papaya toppings.

Guests can lounge in the spacious conference room that is a true reflection of modern Mexican style, with its earthy accent pieces and geometric touches.

A lovely lagoon lies at the back of the compound, providing a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding photos. To make things even more romantic, why don’t you and your groom take a kalesa ride and share a post-wedding smooch?

Once the celebration is in full swing and the guests have had their share of mojitos and margaritas, they can chill out in the nearby cabanas or better yet, get frisky in the pool—for those who want a unique pool-party type of reception.
