Fun budget gimmick with your girlfriends - week 1

Aug 11, 2008 by FN's Trixie Reyna

In this weekly batch of “Fun budget gimmick with your girlfriends” winners, we’ve selected one who loves trekking around the Philippines with her friends and another who loves organizing intriguing sleepovers. Are you one of the two lucky winners?

cotton.jpgCotton Yuson, a 26-year-old government employee, says that she and her friends are hiking enthusiasts since all of them have hometowns in the provinces: “After a busy workweek here in Manila we spend weekends visiting and hiking up the nearby falls and mountains of neighboring provinces. Our budget is less than P1,000.00 per person, inclusive of fares and food. We just make sure that the trip or hike would only be a one day-adventure. When we know someone in a certain province, we ask if we can stay overnight. For instance, we visited Mt. Samal in Bataan and spent less than P700 each on fare and food.” Congratulations, Cotton! You’ve won a fun girl-bonding session consisting of a special Taco Bell feast and a regular movie of choice for you and three girlfriends at Trinoma.

enola.jpgOur second winner is Enola Gaye Vitan, a 24-year-old customer service representative: “I prefer sleepovers as a fun budget gimmick with the girls. We prepare some finger-food and ladies drinks, then it’s girl talk all night about our escapades (or “sexcapades” for some)!” Veronica will get to enjoy a fun Taco Bell feast and movie with three friends in Gateway.

Winning entries should wait for FemaleNetwork’s email on how to claim their prizes within the week. All submitted entries can still qualify for the following weeks.
