Designer desserts are manna from heaven indeed. Not only are they decadent, but they're also a feast for the eyes.

In tune with fashion's turn to brights, these colorful sweets from Pattisserie Sadaharu Aoki Paris in Tokyo Midtown satiate two forms of hunger--the design and digestive kind. They're lovely to look at--somehow they remind me of cray-pas--and I'm sure they're a pleasure to bite.
The chocolates are color coded according to their unique flavors, which makes choosing much more fun. For example, the cassis bar is rendered in a deep grape color, while coco is done in creamy white.
My father said that the 70% of the pleasure derived from food is from its presentation, which is probably why these come at a premium price. Although they are Y310 a piece (roughly 120 pesos), I guess it's worth the pleasure.
